Everyone knows that for some people, balding is part of aging. If it happens to you or has happened, would you have hair transplant surgery to fix it? If not, why?

No.  I am not too terribly concerned with how I look- more so with how I feel.

Fortunately, Sir doesn't have this problem yet. At almost 40, he has thick hair that reaches the middle of his back and no signs of a receding hairline. Hopefully, if his hair isn't thinning by now it never will. I know if it ever happens to me I'll definitely head for the nearest Bosleys.

I'm balding.  It's part of what I am.

I am not changing Myself to suit another person's specifications.  If they are so shallow that they cant handle a balding guy, fuckem.

I know this thread is directed to the guys, but i gotta tell you there is a HUGE difference between a man who loses his hair with grace, and one that doesn't.

I tease the hell out of a few of our follicly-challenged posters but will not mention their names (SilverMark) to save embarrassment (Yer welcome, CreativeDominant). But the fact is, these two unmentioned ChromeDomes are HAWT!! Sure they have a bit of shine, but they are strong, confident men and that confidence is what is noticed above all else. They do not try to alter their appearance with false means and...and....damnit...they are HAWT!!! *drools*

Now...if i see someone that is bothered by his hair loss and trying to hide it, THAT is my first impression, and it is a total turn-off. And it IS a first impression, because men and "hair replacement" are a bad combination and is generally pretty obvious. You have the dudes who buy the toupees in the color that their hair used to be...before they went grey. Then there is my personal favorite...the comb-over.

I guess hair replacement therapy has improved a great deal over time, but i think it still a bit unnatural looking, and my understanding is the cost is hideous. This is just my opinion fella's...but bald can be as sexy as hell when the man underneath is dignified and confident.

I lost my hair on my own, didn't have anyone named grace involved.

I have a 3 inch wide bald strip on the top of my head following the radiotherapy I had for my brain tumour. I got a wig early on but these days I do not bother. I wear a cap when it is cold.

She was with George Burns at the time, so it didn't gel, stylistically.

When I saw this topic, I just knew somewhere along the line my name would come up. Better yet, somehow I knew from whom it would come, I must be clairvoyant?

Women have problems with hair loss as well, but I rarely see a balding woman (unless it's from chemo and that's temporary). My guess is, most women do something about it. Do you think that's because society expects women to fix it but not men? Why shouldn't it work both ways either way?
