Problem is is that it is a complete lie. They trot it out to try and scare people. None of them have real names, real facts...just "opinion".

No can do, unless you want the whole monetary-economic system to collapse. Healthcare and related industry comprise 17.3% of the GDP.

What we really need is a lot more sick and dying people to help the system stay afloat a while longer! So everyone... more stress, more worry! Eat more chemical and hormone-laden foods! Breathe more polluted air! Focus on symptoms instead of causes! Pay close attention to conventional medicine, and use drugs and surgery at every opportunity! Listen to our politicians and our mainstream media, they're our friends! Suck up to the corporatocracy! Support more wars! Play the game! Get those noses to the grindstone! Jump through those hoops! Let's buy more crap we don't need so we can strip more natural resources, and add even more garbage to the landfills! Remember, Madison Avenue says that life is about gratifying our egos! The guy with the most toys wins!!!

Come on now... let's do it for the flag and our free country! If we all work together, we can prevent this system from collapsing for a while longer!

Thats probably the best argument against public education Ive heard in a long time. Leftists such as julia believe that once you accept government aid the government then owns you for life and if your an ungrateful slave youre considered "vermin"

Not even human

Makes Dr Pauls argument for him, in a rather big way

SEN. RAND PAUL (R-KY): "With regard to the idea of whether you have a right to health care, you have realize what that implies. It's not an abstraction. I’m a physician. That means you have a right to come to my house and conscript me. It means you believe in slavery."

I'm not sure which is more stupid.  The idiot who made this statement or the fucking moron who believes it.

"Rand is right. There is no "right" to health care. Leftists just make stuff up, bite their lower lip, and say "but it's for the children" and the weak minds of the country, some of them, buy off on it especially if other people are paying for it. Socialism works great until you run out of other peoples money. "

Almost perfect, just leave out the word leftist. Amazing, I actually agree.

Maybe we should talk about the other side of the coin. If I am responsible for your health, I get to say what you eat, like a dog or a cat. Am I a dog or a cat ? Maybe some people are but I assure you I am not.

Sure except for those FACTS.

The fact is that Ron Paul did not even allow his kids to apply for any such thing. Look it up.

Bingo, Termy, you nailed that one.

Thats a big part of Obamas rationalization of tobacco tax hikes, which are increased taxes on the least educated, lowest income group. The government pays a part of their health care therefore the government effectively owns them and has an obligation to control them for the supposed benefit of "the greater good"

Under socialism individual liberties are demonized out of pure necessity.

You know, the US is stupid. We spend far to much on healthcare, it isn't because of insurance companies either, it is because of our diet!!!! We poison ourselves with this food that causes all these diseases, that then cost 100's of thousands of dollars to treat, and then some demand that they have a right to demand others fix that which is caused 90%+ of the time by the individual in question.

Here's two good videos one from ted, the other a professor (forgot from where), explaining the majority of major disease developing can be traced back to our overconsumption of sugar/ high fructose corn syrup. It's pretty straight forward, and the irony of the situation is that government food programs such as WIC encourage this pattern by what they provide to them.

So, this whole situation is solvable, as in we could easily bring healthcare costs down, provide more preventative care, and live longer and healthier, with the only change being a reduction of sugar. AS THAT IS WHAT IS CAUSING THE INCREASE IN DIABETES, THAT IS CAUSING MOST HEART DISEASE, THAT IS WHAT CONTRIBUTES TO THE GROWTH OF CANCER.

Anyway, prevention is entirely in our control on this one. Or we can fight forever over how to pay for what are in majority preventable diseases.

Here's the links watch them if you wish.....

"AS THAT IS WHAT IS CAUSING THE INCREASE IN DIABETES, THAT IS CAUSING MOST HEART DISEASE, THAT IS WHAT CONTRIBUTES TO THE GROWTH OF CANCER. "

I know. Nobody wants to hear it. They are children, slaves to their immature tastes which are basically bland in nature, so much so that they need to be laden with sugar and salt. In animals (go figure ) this is called cribbing. It's been known for decades, but when the FDA and USDA are stacked with people with a vested interest in poor health, this is what you get.

I gave up. The only thing to do is put people in a camp for about twenty years without refined salt and sugar and let them taste the real taste of foods. That's if you can find anyhing that has what it's supposed to have in it. It doesn't because dozens of ESSENTIAL minerals are depleted from the soil by every crop, and when the plants won't grow anymore they fertilize the soil with three minerals or so that the plants need to grow. That's because they get paid by weight, not nutritional value. Want a tomato ? I'll grow you one in soil on which the grass hasn't even been mowed in ten years. Compare it to what you get at the grocery store. You tell me. And my salt, or the equivalent thereof (unrefined) costs at least a hundred times what the shit they sell you costs. I don't know about sugar, I haven't used it in decades. I am fifty, and run a 69 point spread between systolic and diastolic. That means I have the heart of a teenager despite drinking and smoking all my life.

I had friends who lived the clean life that are dead before sixty. I will never listen to a goddamn word put out by the "officials" or the "experts". Fukum.

Now lazy vegetables lay on the couch and watch TV. I don't care anymore.

Are you insinuating that he only let them take grants and all that but not what needed to be paid back ? (BTW scholarships are earned usually by academic merit and funded privately)

Really ? In my experience people who take will take all they can get. Where do YOU live ?

Don't take this wrong, but we in the $30/hour crowd with technical jobs who smoke don't pay those taxes. If you smoke I'll tell you how in mail, not out here. I might be getting more forthright in my ways here but I am not about to reveal much more anymore. In fact I erased my profile, just leaving enough so that people can cmail me. I am no longer in the mood to share my ways, which I never thought of as secrets before. Things have changed.

I live in the US, same as you smartass. However, not all are means tests. And, yes that is exactly what I am saying. He allowed them to take what they could without having to pay back any money. While that may be smart, and I believe it is, it doesnt back up your statement...

I did look it up, and he would not allow them to apply for federal loans only.
