Now that the thread has been cleaned out, I will hope that you all refrain from going off topic, responding to off topic, making personal attacks, responding to personal attacks and in general requiring me to return and take up more of my day. I do have a few other things to do around here. [;)]

If your post is missing, it is one of those typical reasons. I could have removed the whole thread, but thought it a worthwhile topic and didn't want to close it. Please don't make me regret spending so much time saving it.

Sorry domiguy, this one is not interested in this area for the sake of "trying" anything.

My personal interest is in ending this horrific practice for once and for all.

I am interested in assessing the facts and trying to devise realistic strategies to consign this obnoxious practice to the trash can of history. I am not interested in "guesses" or in cherry picking the facts to pursue some vindictive prejudice against any group.

As you have just made clear, your interest is limited to punishing Muslims. While I make no defence of Islam (and given the choice would much prefer a world without organised religion of any sort) I have no desire to participate in any endeavour that sets out to use the victims of 'honour killings' to promote a sectarian hate-producing agenda.

I hope that one day you will see the bigger picture that lies beyond your self imposed blinkers. Thank you for a frank exchange.

Huh?  Where has he said that his "interest is limited to punishing Muslims"?  I think he said that it appears to be more common in Muslim culture (although not exclusive) than other cultures, and he'd like to limit the discussion to Muslim cultures for that reason.

Good example of a broken clock lol. I found myself in agreement with Firm on that point - Rule made a few good points although its a shame its mixed in with his bigger cosmological picture of genetics/circumcision etc.
