So here's a tangential question. Do folks think that one needs to be arrogant to be a Dom/ Domme? Personally, I think a little arrogance is required, if for nothing else, to possess the chutzpah to own another human being and be certain that you can run their life well.

Kana.. a little arrogance is good, IMO, as long as it is tempered by self-awareness and humor (and the ability to not take oneself too seriously). I hope that made sense? ETA: I hope you are well, life is good, and that the Kitteh is being kind to you ;) )

got it and replied... Arrogance has such a fine line between being attractive (which, IMO, Kana has mastered -pun not intended), and being, well, just arrogantly arrogant.

LadyC.. thats another very fine line, IMO. When I first moved to FL, there was a guy I knew who managed to balance on the microscopic line between arrogance and self confidence. However, I also realize that the determination of which is which is also VERY subjective....

Its threads like this that make me work so hard to be intensely modest. Its not easy, let me tell you! I have so much I could be justifiably arrogant about that being so perfectly modest requires a lot of work. And of course, as many here have posted, there is a fine line between one woman's strutting peacock and another's dream date.

I have been called cocky, arrogant, overly confident and an asshole and what's it gotten me? Laid - a lot! Women love confident (alpha) males. They swarm to the cocky, bad-boy, types. Why? Because we are arrogant. Because they love the confidence. Men, for the most part, chase after the cool, confident, female the same way. Who wants to be around a simpering whiny little bitch? Not me. I am pretty fucking fantastic actually. Discovered that I like chains this weekend.
