Newt Gingrich urges talk about his personal failings

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich says he has sought God's forgiveness for his personal failings and hopes that evangelical voters take time to talk to him about his two divorces and his affair with the woman who is now his third wife.

Schwarzenegger reveals he had child with staffer

LOS ANGELES – Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has acknowledged that he fathered a child with a member of his household staff, a revelation that apparently prompted wife Maria Shriver to leave the couple's home before they announced their separation last week.

And so long as  neo-cons cease sniffing up our very asses and forcing their brand of morality on us, it remains so.

As long as they cease sniffing? I would think you would be sick of it and want them to cease, but maybe you enjoy the attention.

NO, it is about neo-cons sucking each other off in the bathroom and then pointing fingers up their own asses.

Or, as is the simpletons jingle.   Unintended consequences.

Actually the thread is about 2 men who apparently represent the whole republican party. I find this very amusing. People have said that they would have been ok with the way Newt treated his wife, if he hadn't been picking on Clinton at the same time. Now I am not sure why it would be ok in either case, but I am conservative, so maybe a liberal can explain it to me.

Silly man... that was then and he was of thier party.

That said I will stick to the points I had back then... neither Newt or Arnold should be trusted. It is not that either one of them fucked another. Some how I doubt either of them had an open relationship or lived poly. It is the fact they lied to some one they loved. If they will lie to a person like that, then they sure as shit will lie to me. The same can be said for Sanford in SC and many of the other ass hats that pulled this same shit. Wrong for one person, wrong for all of them.

No, apparently not, I don't get what Schwartzenegger is doing in the 2 man list there.  Newt is the flaming hypocrite, but Arnie wasn't hooking on family values and the somber morality that I recall.

In fact, he was about like Clinton, wasn't he?  Some shadowy allegations of rapine behavior in the day, come up in his campaign as I recall.

You would have to ask rml that. He is the one who picked the 2 to start the thread on.

Yep.

And I still believe that.

But conservatives like Newtie have made "family values" their mantra while making a mockery of it.

And there was never any rape so stop trying to push that bullshit.

Oh, here we go.

Always the same theme, they don't represent all Republicans.

But isn't Newt the one who vigorously condemned Clinton while doing the same thing?

Does not the Republican Party hold itself up as the party of virtue and family values?

But I guess you are right, only quite a few of them are hypocrites, just not all.

I never said I would have been ok with how Newt treated his wife. The man is a fucking pig. I wouldn't have made it political if the pig had kept to his own mud pit and had not started declaring other mud pits foul.

Californians knew what they were getting when they voted for Schwarzenegger, he actually didn't get as many votes as Davis, but since it was a recall that didn't matter.

There were stories of Schwarzenegger hitting on women, molesting women, etc etc etc, while he was married, and no one seemed to care. I thought the accusations that he sexually fondled women without their permission much more alarming than a love child, and I believed them. I do not think his intention was necessarily to rape anybody, he just thinks he is so hot that women should fall all over him. He is revolting, really.

So, as with Clinton's sexual indiscretions, I do not think this changes my opinion of him one way or another. I didn't like the way he went after unions because they didn't support his candidacy. He was a vindictive bastard, trying to hurt government workers in California, and he was especially punitive to the peace officer's union (I know because my brother in law is a member of it, and they had more yanked from them than any other sector).

I liked some of Clinton's policies, and I detested many others, bit impeaching him for sexual stuff was wrong.... I would have the same view if Arnie was the governor today.

I do not think that Schwarzenegger campaigned on family values, if he had, my opinion would be far different

Hmmmm.... I do not think that is true, have you seen what happened to John Edwards career lately? And he didn't even leave his wife on her deathbed, he actually was there when she died.... repulsive and as nasty as he is.
