Would you still be with your partner if for whatever illogical reason he woke up tomorrow and was 5'4?

DesFIP -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 12:47:29 AM)

I'm 5'3". Theoretically almost any guy is taller than me but the truth is that unless a guy is almost 6' I don't feel any chemistry. I like big guys, taller than me, heavier than me, strong enough to pick me up and hold me down. That feeling of being physically controlled just does it for me. It may well be shallow, but at my age I know what works for me and what doesn't. And the other thing is I don't do short term or casual play. If I did, then maybe I would try to overlook it. But since I only do long term, monogamous relationships, I stick to what I know I need. And I need things to be as optimal as possible.

So I don't consider short or skinny guys because relationships are hard enough that not having any physical chemistry just won't work for me. And I don't think any of us can say exactly why we have chemistry with one person but not another. All I know is that I need it so I do insist on it, which limits the people I can be with. Gender, race, religion, ethnic group, weight, height - they are all fair game for us to choose within for partners. Because the heart needs what it needs, and that's the truth.

I have no desire to be shorter. My mom is 5 foot 3 and can't reach a damn thing without help....

I can also weigh more and get away with it[;)]

Yea, I probably wouldn't want to be shorter either. Well most of the time. Both my mother and sister are shorter than me. They used to accuse me of sticking things up high to mess with them. Not that I would ever do that[8D]

I am somewhat fascinated by midgets. But only in a sexual fantasy way. One of the Ilsa movies, I think it was Harem Keeper to the Oil Sheiks, had a hot midget scene in it.

phoenixmoonn13 -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 5:48:12 AM)

i am 5 ft 8 master is jsut under 5 ft 6 . i would never usually have considered anyone shorter than me but personality is way more important and hes so strong both physically and in his masterness (ok i know its not a word but no idea what word to use) that i dont feel him as shorter than me and i can feel small and protected in his arms which i love. ok i cant wear heals but i dont anyway since i lost over half the meniscus in my knee

No.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 8:05:12 AM)

10 years ago, I. Would have said height was a deal breaker. Now, being unemployed with no health insurance is a deal breaker. Have I gotten more or less shallow as I have gotten older?

Charnegui -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 8:09:56 AM)

In principle it is not, I had once a BF to be my exact height so, couldn't wear my heels, but the man himself had a lot of problems with it.
He couldn't look down on me. And that was his turnon probably.... Looking down on people (that's why it didn't last also)

Chuck Norris is 5 foot 4.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 8:19:32 AM)

I didn't realize that about chuck Norris. How funny.

So is Jean Claude van Damme

that's rather like when my son was under 10 and would ask what would i do if something totally improssible was to happen. the answer is there is no answer because it would never happen. if he were to become wheelchair bound or what-have-you then it wouldn't be a problem for me.

however, had he been 5'4 to start with i probably would still have mailed him simply in the manner that i did and it would have stayed at that.

i'm 39, i know what i want and what i don't want. i was 17 when i had my first experience of standing next to a guy i'd been friends with for years when out in town one night. it was the first time i'd stood next to him in heels. looking down at him i though 'this would never work, it feels weird'. that has never changed. same as my preference for older rather than younger men, slim over large or arnie types. it's just the way it is and i don't see why i should feel awkward or not be feeling what i want for someone else's ego.

does it matter to you? when looking for someone is height something you take into consideration?

The shortest man I've ever dated was 5'5" and the tallest was 6'6".  My general rule is "the guy must be taller than me."  Since I'm 5'3", that's pretty easy.  Other than that, there's no height that's a deal breaker.  I prefer tall guys though; the taller the better.  I go weak in the knees if the guy is over 6' and has long hair.

For women, I tend to prefer them around my height, but I don't have any deal breakers.  As for whether I feel more or less dominant based on height...well, I haven't found anyone who's taller than me when s/he's on his/her knees.

PetiteOralSub -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 11:38:52 AM)

Tall and Strong.
Minimum 6 foot.
Able to physically put me where they want me.

let's say I am banging a tall subby gal, around 5' 9" or so, if one day she woke up and was suddenly 5' 4" I would kick that bitch to the curb so fast it would turn your head.

That shit might be contagious!

NocturnalStalker -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 12:43:13 PM)

No you wouldn't.

LaTigresse -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 1:06:43 PM)

Height is not an issue for me.

I was involved for three years with a man I got along well with. He was about an inch shorter than I was when we got together. He had an accident at work, which literally blew apart a disc in his back. He had to have two discs fused together to repair the damage. He lost two inches off his height. It did not change the way I felt about him. I think it changed how he felt about me...

Ever hear an old saying, "We do not fall in love with how someone makes us feel about them, we fall in love with how we feel about ourselves when we are with them." I think this is true of a large number of people (perhaps myself included at times. We love how we feel when we are with someone, and we love how we feel about ourselves when we are with them. We want to be accepted the way we are, we want to feel the person we are with isn't with us because they can't get anyone else, and we want someone that we admire (if not the way they look, then the qualities they possess).

IrishMist -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 8:34:33 PM)

Yes, it matters to me.I am 5'9, I do NOT want to be looking down at a man or across at him. I want to look UP, UP, UP, UP [8D]

Whiplashsmile4 -> RE: height a deal breaker? (5/18/2011 9:00:14 PM)

I'm 5'10" and generally don't have to worry about this. Women my height and slightly taller don't really intimidate me. It's a matter of mindset for me personally, if they have an issue with height that's their own mental hang up not mine. ;^)
