Yes,its safe to say money dommes are like beggars.Actually, thats basically what they are.

Well you've certainly changed your tune. (Twice.)

Can we say 'hypocrite'? I think we can.

I seriously don't get it, if somebody says openly "All I want is your money, I'm not interested in you!" Then this person might not be a nice person, but at least it's honest and upfront, since nobody makes false promises or holds a gun on anybody's head or frogmarches somebody to an ATM, we have to assume that the guys are doing it out of their own free will. If that's their kink, great, they're getting their kink on, if it's not their kink, then why on earth do they do it? As the saying goes, a fool and his money...

I suspect you've never actually been mugged, if you consider someone posting an ad on a personals site to be a reasonable comparison. Posting an ad is about as close to passive as an action can get while still being an action. Mugging, on the other hand, is pretty active.

emotionally mugging someone seems somewhat different to physical mugging. My mistake, I was sure using the word emotional provided some distinction.

No. Why would a wife be a prostitute? Why would that cute girl I fucked after I took her out for dinner be a prostitute?

You need to buy a dictionary.

Maybe they don't sell dictionaries to lesbos?

The word 'mugging' still implies a much more active role than just posting an ad. Note that 'active' is not the same as 'physical'. What with all your degrees I assumed you'd be able to make that distinction, but perhaps not.

The ad is active- as it is worded to cause a specified reaction in someone emotionally vulnerable, this along with some form of picture, emotionally 'mugs' the victim of said predator.

I think that without prey, there would be no predators.

If there wasn't a market for it, which, by the way, you need to look at your fellow males about, it wouldn't be so prevalent in the first place.  People who are looking for a quick pay day wouldn't be here if the opportunity didn't exist.

Yes, financial Domination is a legitimate kink.  There are people out there who enjoy it.  That is part of why folks think they can make a couple of bucks.  There is absolutely a demand out there, so when people try to be a part of the supply, who am I to argue?

True, but many of the prey are mentally ill in the same way as alcoholics or gamblers. It seems ethically wrong and rather unsavoury. I pity these beggars/muggers, that they need money this much. They are almost stealing from the afflicted.

I've been giving some of the profiles on here some thought and it seems to me that financial dommes are little more than beggars. What do others think?

Just curious - what do you call men who write random femdom profiles begging to be money slaves?

I don't actually get much of that now on my professional profile,  but on my social friends-only profile, I was virtually inundated with guys asking if I would be their financial domme and treat them like pay piggies.  Uh....what exactly was it about a "gamer geek in the lifestyle looking for pervy gamer buddies and friends only" that attracted these guys? Fuck if I know, but they were swarming me like mosquitoes.

I'm not into findomme as a kink, or as a business either.  I'm not the one pursuing men to give me their money for nothing.  I really don't want to do this.  Yet I have been pursued by men who actively seek this kink.  I'm not so sure who you could really define as the beggar here, the men who ardently bother women to do this for them, or the women who are willing to (thank goodness) cater to their kinks so there are less of these desperate fellows to bother those of us who have zero interest in this fetish?

For one thing, the 'victim' online has to be actively looking at adverts in order to come across this specific ad. The victim of a mugging is walking down the street, not looking to be mugged at all.

And then once the 'victim' has seen the profile they have to message the user, request and obtain bank details, and then actively transfer the money themselves. They have to make active decisions to do all these things - no negative outcome is being held over them if they don't go through with their actions. A victim of a mugging is threatened with a fist or a knife, or their valuables are physically removed by another person - if they make an active decision to hand over their valuables it is with the threat of something worse hanging over them, and they may not make that active decision at all.

I'm sorry, but your analogy is a poor one.

Even emotionally vulnerable adults are adults, and they need to take responsibility for their actions and their active choices. Being mugged is not an active choice. Giving money to a findomme most definitely *is*.

Can we truly all be this bored, that we keep feeding these trolls?

RedMagic, I have been watching the patterns of male sub misogyny for years, and I can't understand it for the life of me. Luckily, the atttackers stick to the internet--or at least keep their attacks to the I nternet.

So, drinkers, gamblers, and those who want their wallets controlled are mentally ill?

Alcoholics and compulsive gamblers certainly; those desperate enough to offer money to an ad on screen not knowing if said poster is male or female? Probably.

I agree with gte comparison to gambling addiction. A friend of mine did findomme for a while, and she had to black a guy repeatedly after he told her he was being evicted because he gave her money instead of paying his bills, and then he created multiple different emails after she severed ties with him.

Why not build in the positive, though? Improve the health of the men. Your analysis, Phil, seems to be that women should wear burkas so they won't tempt damaged guys.
