So, in this you feel justified.  You are solicited to provide an example and you pout and whine that it would not be of benefit, prior to your example.  I cannot be guilty because you argue logical fallacies.

This, is an 'inconvienient fact' regarding anti-semitic:

It was coined in 1879 by German journalist Wilhelm Marr in a pamphlet called, "The Victory of Germandom over Jewry". Using ideas of race and nationalism, Marr argued that Jews had become the first major power in the West. He accused them of being liberals, a people without roots who had Judaized Germans beyond salvation. In 1879 Marr founded the "League for Anti-Semitism".

Le't see you provide proof of your assertions.

If you see a pout and a whine thats your weird 'magination budley. [:D] Point is I'm not about to waste my day givin' you examples if your mind is already made up. Jules the divinly right said anti-sem related to all semites. I said "non" m'lady. That term originated with a pseudo-scientic terminology to justify hatred of Jooz. You appear to agree so WTF!

I agree with jules on this, and have proven that its real meaning is a perversion by racists, for you racists.  Your ad hominem circumstantial is really an elide.   The racists are like skunks, first to smell their own hole.

So, to expect a middle eastern country to try to find peaceful solutions with its neighbors is racist?

Snore.  Try to glean a clue.

Your senseless, and cheap as they come to boot by calling me a racist when you moan about others using the same argument. The word means what it fucking means. Look up any dictionary. The word "anti-semitism" was historically used by a hater of Jews just to sound quasi scientific. That is commonly understood and your fucking argument even proved that. That is why anti-semitism means a specific hatred of jooz. Words develop in haphazzard ways so its no big deal cept to neo-nazis (funny they use the same argument) and to people wanting to bash a tiny fuckin sandspit in an arab ocean.

I find the way you shorten Palestinian to "pals" and "Arab" to 'rabs very distasteful. It colors the way I read your posts and makes me want to skip them. I know you justify it as a shortening of Palestinian.. and I may have bought that, but 'rab is just as hard to type as "Arab" is....so I don't buy it anymore than I buy calling Vietnamese people "gook" is a cute little nickname., or calling Japanese people "japs" is anything but a racial slur.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... what is it?

The problem is that Israel signs these agreements, then immediately violates them.

It was only derailed by the assassination of Rabin... which was not a Palestinian act.

Both sides have extremists that do not want to see peace.

Good one you two. How bout Julia only mentions the assassination of Rabin. Does Julia know for example that while Oslo II was being discussed around da time of the killing of Rabin some of the worst PLO terrorist attacks on Israeli soil were taking place while Arafat was chattin' away with Perez and other peace niks? Who knows but gee lets all blame Israel anyhoo for breaking agreements cuze we could never think the Pals don't really want peace.

mnottertail -> RE: Obama Backs Deal Based on 1967 Lines (5/23/2011 9:15:12 AM)

And from that, which is my entire point, to try to get middle eastern neighbors to work it out becomes an issue of racism.

So, do you hate Jews?  Is that the thing?  Why wouldn't you want to see them try for peace with their neighbors?

The ad hominem circumstantial with you, which is where all this started is that you seem to think you have 'inconvienient facts' strewn about this arguement, but I have yet so see anything inconvienient and only one or two facts, that are deployed as non sequiturs to the issues at hand.

And now you elide the point further. Rather than what needs to get done vis a vis Israel and Palestine, we are caught in racists calling people who are pointing out facts  racist.

So.  do any of the 'inconvienient facts' deal with Israel vis a vis Palestine and their paths to a two state amenable and peaceful solution, or are you still going to convince me that a word coined in racism, having lost its glister by the great unwashed, no longer carries a connotation of racism?   And if that is the case, can you differentiate that from n****r since there are those that who are not of that particular genetic tanning solution find the word inoffensive and not conveying racist undertones?

BamaD -> RE: Obama Backs Deal Based on 1967 Lines (5/23/2011 9:15:21 AM)

It was also derailed by the intifada and Arab rejection of the plan agreed to one anti peace fanatic on one side thousands on the other.

Again with the accusations of racism. I like 'rab cause it injects a little light in a heavy topic that I don't even like discussing. I also use Jooz often but you don't object to that cause it wouldn't fit your argument that I'm racist. More of your selective truth to do what - silence others I guess, whats cookin' in da kingdom of Denmark. [:D]

As long as those on both sides approach it this way there will never be peace. I could come up with many examples of extreme attitudes on one side or the other... the point is, you either want peace so badly that you are determined that no one faction or person will destroy it, or you let the extremists get their way. Peace is fragile, and there are people on both sides who will do everything they can to destroy it, . The question is, do the innocents on both sides allow the zealots control them, or do they decide enough is enough... they aren't going to fall for the extremist line anymore.

This bickering back and forth isn't solving anything...

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Obama Backs Deal Based on 1967 Lines (5/23/2011 9:22:39 AM)

And there is one side who's religion dictates that there can never be peace. Guess which one?

I find nothing humorous about this topic...

If you find it amusing to change people's ethnic identity to some humorous crack, that is not a person I want to discuss with.

I don't engage with BS like this....

Funny how Jules only cmentions extremists from one side so. [:D] although not in this quote here she still blames rael with "they aren't going to fall for the extremist line anymore" type sentiments. I think she even pretended extremists on the Pal side were just a few nutters when Pals in Gaza elected Hamas as their rules to continue strife with rael!

How many times did God tell the Hebrew people to kill everything in their path, even the animals and the children, to get 'em off the land?

Who are the "chosen" people?

Exactly which religion believes that they have some sort of birthright to the Holy Land... etc etc etc

mnottertail -> RE: Obama Backs Deal Based on 1967 Lines (5/23/2011 9:30:50 AM)

It just seems sorta funny that a trotskyite such as wilbur is so pro-semite.

I think desperate people do desperate things when they are pushed to the edge. I mean, we elected Bush for a second term out of desperation and fear. Same reason Israelis elect hardliners when they feel threatened. You know, that shit ain't an ethnic thing, it is a human thing... although I know you like to reduce people to their ethnic identity[8|]

Sorry dude, I don't find racial epithets to be conducive to less tension, they only add to it.

What group of people claim a right to a land they never once governed?

Do you know what "Chosen people" refers to? (Obviously not given your attempt to use it in a negative light)

Do you not understand the admonition about "killing everything in their path". What Torah are you reading?
