Herman Cain 2012

For several years we have been listening to derelicts like Jimmuh Carter and Bill Cosby tell us that the reason we don't like Obama is simply because he is black and that we are racists. Enter Herman Cain. I like this guy a lot (and I have been listening to Herman via radio for years). Carter and Cosby owe me (and probably many others) an apology. Idiots.

And I'm sure you love Alan Keyes as well.

TheHeretic -> RE: The trouble with Herman Cain (5/22/2011 6:38:49 AM)

I know very little about Herman Cain. I caught the video of his announcement speech. What the fuck was he doing wearing sunglasses? I don't care about the importance of protecting oneself from UV rays, when a man stands up and says he wants to be President of the United States, I want to see his eyes.

Owner59 -> RE: The trouble with Herman Cain (5/22/2011 6:54:55 AM)

Oh run that guy, ohh please......He`s the black Sarah Palin.

Btw,a black(or two) in the GOP doesn`t erase it`s bigots.

You cons don`t it.Tokenism is just that.

Folks criticizing Clarence Thomas or Michael Steel weren`t doing it b/c of their race(s) but b/c of their character/actions.

DarkSteven -> RE: The trouble with Herman Cain (5/22/2011 6:59:27 AM)

He's an oddball.  Never held elective office, a black man more conservative than mainstream GOP.  He's got no chance in Hell, but hopefully he'll add some flavor to a bland GOP race.

Black President, black GOP challenger... amazing how much has changed in just a few short years.

Owner59 -> RE: The trouble with Herman Cain (5/22/2011 7:08:40 AM)

How cons are trying to gain traction on race by featuring this black nut or Cornel West`s criticism of President Obama is telling.

Why all the focus on the guys racial make-up?

Why the need to?

OrionTheWolf -> RE: The trouble with Herman Cain (5/22/2011 9:51:39 AM)

How easy it is to dismiss ideas, but calling someone a nut. Why not have intellectual discourse on particular ideas, and pay a solid foundation of reason why they are nutty ideas?

Most of the radio show I have caught of Herman in the past seemed well reasoned ideas, on why he believes certain things. I may disagree with some of those reasons, but he always seemed pretty reasonable, and not much of a nut. Maybe your post should be put in the name calling topic Sunshine started?

Yes, yes, yes.  We all know how bigoted us homophobic, tea-bagging, buggering, fascist, hateful, misogynist, racist, did I mention hateful and tea-bagging, Nazi Republicans are.  And how much Republicans really need to tone down their fascist, vile, spiteful, vitriolic language.  [8|]

You really have to ask that after we elected the current president based almost completely on his racial make up?  Or do you really want to try to make the case that a community organizing Senator from Illinois was better qualified and had more experience than either Hillary or McCain?

Nope, never would have happened.

Ah yes, that idiot Palin woman...  the only one out of the four on the major party ballots with actual executive experience.  How awful would that have been?  Someone with executive experience...  oh the horror.

It would have been disastrous. I was all set for the McCain/Palin ticket.. when she opened her mouth... and I cringed. I could not get behind that ticket because of the actions of that woman. Maybe she gives you a political woody... I dont know. To many women, she left us all cold.

Oh, and allow me to point this out... You are the one who called her an idiot.

Well, the simplest explanation is usually correct.
