He is no William F Buckley... that's for sure...

From my experience with people in academic circles, he wouldn't be taken seriously. His book is nothing but hate speak, and he cashed in his reputation as a psychiatrist to write it.

Personally, I wouldn't trade my reputation so cheaply, this dude must have a real deep seated hatred of liberalism.

One of things that cracks me up about intellectual life in the USA is the hierarchy of disciplines. Medics, especially shrinks, seem to be right at the top.

Lyle is psychiatrist, not a political scientist, ABM. Why should anyone care what he thinks on this subject? The man's talking feeble-minded crap.
