PhilSlave -> Is it weird when a member on here wants to know about your private life beyond what you share? (5/29/2011 4:52:43 PM)

What do others think?

I think the question doesn't have anything to do with bondage, discipline, sadism, or masochism.

Well, could it be considered, an extension of a female dominant having butt hurt?

popularDemand -> RE: Is it weird when a member on here wants to know about your private life beyond what you share? (5/29/2011 4:56:38 PM)

Why, what do you do for a living?
and how many pairs if socks (free of darns) do you have?

pD

Butt hurt? Dude, she's winding you up because she thinks you're lying (and I'm not entirely sure I disagree.) That's all.

That would depend...

What did they ask?

What is the context of their inquiry?

If someone on the board asked me a personal question on the other side to clarify something I posted, to get to know me better, or because they were concerned for me I would not get excited over it. If I wanted to answer I would, and if I was uncomfortable with answering I would say so.

Same goes on the other side in trying to meet someone I might click with. If the question seemed appropriate I might answer. If it wasn't I wouldn't.

If my alarm bells were going off I would listen to that, too.

If someone here asks me anything, and I mean anything at all, my policy is to curl into a foetal position and scream at the top of my lungs "STRANGER DANGER STRANGER DANGER" until an adult comes to my rescue. The internet is full of crazies and they are all out to get you, yes, you!

Do any of his questions?

LadyPact -> RE: Is it weird when a member on here wants to know about your private life beyond what you share? (5/29/2011 4:59:43 PM)

Nah.  The fact that one of the female Dominants on the board has been calling a member of the forums on their bullshit doesn't have anything to do with that person being a Dominant.  It just means that the inconsistencies over various threads have been pointed out.

I'm putting the odds of this going to polls and random stupidity (oh, sorry, "snippets") within the hour.

Weird even if she doubts my veracity to ask for proof from a third party and be that interested in someone's private life. That's not winding up 'dude', that's creepy.

Is it weird if a coworker asked these questions?
Or a neighbor? Or the waitress at that diner you frequent?
Oh my, those freaky BDSM practioners are asking personal questions!
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELPPPPPPPPPP!

Can I beat you for a while just for fun?

Nah. Pretty standard internet procedure - if someone's claiming either to be female or to be associated with a woman, you ask for a voice recording stating their username, and maybe the date or something. I've got one on my profile. She's not asking for intimate details, she's asking someone that you claim is sitting by you reading your posts to take a minute out of their life to pop in and say hello.

It would be weird if I'd only engaged in a few sentences with them. Yeah, really weird.

It depends on the exact situation, doesn't it. Someone asking where and exactly what hours i work. Yes, that would be creepy. Someone asking what toppings i like on my pizza? Not so much.

If she was the one with the profile and was after something i'd agree; however, nah, having a partner who has no interest in a forum... Not really, really is creepy.

Jeez dude, what are people asking you after a few sentences, for your social security number, do you like anal or if you were breast fed?

Or are they asking if you are single, working, what movies you like, who is your favorite artist?

Part of getting to know someone is asking questions, duh.

Someone wanting to talk to your husband or hear your husbands voice because you'd exchanged messages on an open forum and stated you were married.... Really weird and creepy.

So she sits next to you and reads all the messages but has no interest? Because that's what you said yesterday - that she often sat by you and read. I'll pull the quote up if you like.

Under those circumstances I think the request is fair enough, particularly as you'd just accused someone else (i.e. me) of cheating.

Yeah but, get your girlfriend who has no interested in said online forum on voice chat and waste her time at some point.. Really weird and creepy.
