Your shit is really weak mnot, for several reasons

You havent even began to establish that FOX NEWS is indeed propaganda.

Even if you could establish that FOX NEWS is propaganda, two wrongs dont make a right. In other words your "someone else may have done something similar once" excuse is intellectually lazy at its very foundation.

Its been established that Hollywood overwhelmingly discriminates against conservatives, yet FOX NEWS airs leftists views all the time.

And FOX NEWS is one of the very few media outlets that you can point to and say with confidence that it doesnt lean left. So why all the leftist hate and rage towards them for establishing the tiniest bit of balance?

Such an intolerant attitude towards the free exchange of ideas is not very "liberal" of you, to say the least.

Lucylastic -> RE: "Primetime Propaganda' (6/3/2011 11:21:24 AM)

hahahahahahhahah oh boy, this is hysterical, how long is it going to take you to get over this little item
If you are so slow as to believe it was conservative then thats all on YOU....

Poor old Murdoch should put this chick on his highest payroll level
http://www.adweek.com/news/press/murdoch-paper-reports-fourth-murdoch-marriage-132202
A cub reporter at one of Rupert Murdoch's Australian newspapers accidentally posted placeholder text announcing the publishing magnate's fourth marriage—in a "shotgun" ceremony, no less. “Perth Now journalist Ashlee Mullany has married her long-term boyfriend and boss News Ltd. owner Rupert Murdoch in a shotgun wedding yesterday,” wrote reporter Nancy McDonald on the PerthNow website. McDonald didn’t have inside gossip on Murdoch’s love life; she was just banging out some “dummy copy” while training to use the paper’s Fatwire content management system, according to an article in the West Australian. But by some quirk of technology, the story went live on the Web along with a few other phony stories, according to the report."Cougar Delta Goodrem to give birth to younger boyfriend Nick Jonas’s baby, ” was the lead of another fake story that went live. “Speculation has surrounded the shock pregnancy as it is not sure who is the real baby daddy with Goodrem [who is] rumoured to have been sexually involved with both Jonas and McFadden at the same time.”All of this would have been merely embarrassing, but things got worse when another News Corp. title picked up the phony celebrity gossip. When they realized what had happened, the IT department spent the rest of the day scrubbing the story from the website, the paper reported. No word yet on whether Murdoch has had McDonald scrubbed from his payroll.

No such thing has been established.  John Wayne, John Bircher.

Hank Fonda, Jimmy Stewart, Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope, Chuck Norris, Charleton Heston, Dennis Hopper, Dennis Miller, James Woods, Fred Thompson..........ad nauseam....oh Jesus, Tom.

Do you need another mulligan?

Hollywood contains just about as many conservatives as the general population, your trouble is that reality has a liberal bent, and there just ain't that many conservatives.

Sanity -> RE: "Primetime Propaganda' (6/3/2011 11:56:22 AM)

I never wrote and no one is suggesting that conservatives have never worked in Hollywood mnot

At least one of those figures was a big leftist, another changed party, the others probably didnt make their real political views known early on (or even later on) in their careers

Further, the article and the videos, as well as the posts from collarchat posters stating that the premise of the thread isnt in any way news further show the weakness of your... "argument"

mnottertail -> RE: "Primetime Propaganda' (6/3/2011 12:01:13 PM)

Weak shit Tom.  The vox human prevails and they don't want conservative invective farsical hypotheticals pushed down their throat since they are well known for not adhering in any measure to fact.

Sanity -> RE: "Primetime Propaganda' (6/3/2011 12:03:32 PM)

Since youre not clear I am going to assume that by killings you meant propaganda aimed at our soldiers

First of all, please dont try to tell us that youre a centrist when you so plainly state that you approve of leftist propaganda broadcast in the name of "mindless entertainment" .

Second, now that Obama is starting wars of his own you might start watching for the propaganda to shift towards supporting wars, or "killing" as you say.

Agreed...... WTF is wrong with those guys using mass social engineering to try and stop the killings. They should be making less propoganda movies and more war films huh bro.

flcouple2009 -> RE: "Primetime Propaganda' (6/3/2011 12:08:41 PM)

Oh Sanity,  Here you go,  lets try again

Reading here it is pretty apparent you don't understand the term fictional entertainment.

Did you ever think it was a problem that many of our interrogators got their ideas from watching "24" ?    How did that work out?  Where was the "leftist propaganda" there?

Remember some little John Wayne movie called "The Green Berets"?  That wasn't a pro war Vietnam is a great idea movie?

Again it is fictional entertainment

I am far more concerned with the Rush Limbaughs, Glenn Becks, and Keith Olbermanns of the world.  The ones who try and spin commentary and opinion half truths under the guise of news.

At least Olbermann has the guts to say, yep I said it and that's what I believe.  Unlike another weasel who does the stammering "I'm just an entertainer" when caught.

Which war has Obama started?

Sanity -> RE: "Primetime Propaganda' (6/3/2011 12:20:13 PM)

I addressed that when I responded to taz and wrote "With the now admitted propaganda campaign driving it, it isnt exactly mindless entertainment taz. "

Further, the commentators you mention make it clear that they are pushing a political agenda, they dont seriously claim to be nonpartisan news anchors. Whereas the television / Hollywood crowd on the other hand, keep their propaganda on the sublime side. As do CNN anchors, and the New York Times editors, and so on.

The point that youre missing is that television and movie audiences are supposed to remain unaware that they are being indoctrinated, though anyone who thoughtfully reads this thread will have a much harder time ignoring that propaganda aspect now that its been brought to the forefront of consciousness

And John Wayne is dead by the way, he has been dead for a long time. But again, no one is positing that a conservative has never worked in Hollywood, or anything of the sort.

You didnt bring anything to the forefront of conciousness .and neither has a single book by a conservative, ...good gawd get over yourself
Where is Fox?
Who stopped media from dealing with the reality of dead soldiers? by not allowing coffins being photographed
That wasnt the people in charge of programming anywhere , that was the govmnt..oh a REPUBLICAN run govmnt
President Barack Obama had earlier said he was considering lifting the controversial ban, which kept the media and photographers away since the 1991 Gulf War.

Shortly after Obama took office, Democratic Sens. John Kerry of Massachusetts and Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey also asked the White House to roll back the 1991 ban.

Over the years, some exceptions to the policy were made, allowing the media to photograph coffins in some cases, until the administration of President George W. Bush and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A leading military families group has said that the policy, enforced without exception during George W. Bush's presidency, should be changed so that survivors of the dead can decide whether photographers can record their return.

mnottertail -> RE: "Primetime Propaganda' (6/3/2011 12:56:45 PM)

And we still need to ask again, which new war?

A constitutionalist would know that only congress can declare war.

A rabid rightwinger wouldn't know that, they seem to never get around to reading the constitution.

Sanity -> RE: "Primetime Propaganda' (6/3/2011 12:56:55 PM)

Just stop

Only a few of you far left extremists are bothering to try to deny the reality Luce, everyone else who is reasonable is posting that this isnt news by any stretch of the imagination
