ORIGINAL: HeatherMcLeather FR I don't agree with most of the posters, it seems a bit over the top of the theatre to throw her out for using her phone as a light, and even if she were texting, if it was on silent then I don't see any reason to throw her out. Myself, I'd avoid that theatre just on principal. And as for her voicemail, well I don't see anything particularly rude or offensive about that either. Kids talk that way these days, that's just the way it is. And before you all start going on about how that's some sort of sign of how ill mannered we are or how its a real shame, just remember how your parents felt about how you talked when you were a teen. I've seen the news clips from the 50s, 60s, and 70s on TV where parents are lamenting how rude their children were and how profanity was going to destroy society. The kids they were complaining about are you. So you were swearing too much for your parents tastes when you were young, I'm pretty sure your parents swore too much for your grandparents' taste as well. Its a universal thing, its always been like that. The ancient Athenians fussed about the language of their children, and you're doing the same. As the kids in my generation get older we'll swear less, and when we have kids of our own we'll wonder what's wrong with that generation that they have to swear all the time. And the same thing will happen to them, and their kids, and so on, and so on, forever. You really see nothing wrong with the message she left? I must be getting old because all I can think is how I would kick her ass if she were my daughter and left something that rude on a businesses answering machine. Sure, I cussed too much for my moms tastes. Heck, i still cuss like a sailor, the word fuck is my favorite word. I love the way it feels when it rolls off my tongue. That said, I didn't cuss around my mom or any other adults in my family. I have worked in the school system for almost 20 years, and I do not cuss at work. I do not cuss when speaking to folks I do not know, and I certainly would not cuss if I were trying to make a point that I had been mistreated by a business. My son and his friends cuss like sailors, but only when they think I am not hearing them. Cussing is not bad, but, there is a time and place for everything. She made a bad call by using such language on the message she left for the theater. She proved that she is a lil smartass, with no respect for others.
