OK, thanks for that information.

We are supposed to read somebody who is not Lucy, in some post about 15 or so before Lucy's post, to understand that she was claiming that Goldman Sachs is the party of the Dems.

Got it.

Glad you do Edwynn...not so sure I do...but now Sanity is quoting fellow?...
Next thing Tom will be wearing gold lame' and agreeing with pa...it would be way too much for me to handle![:D]

Sorry to have misunderstood you Sanity, but the image of you in gold lame is already etched in my mind...ruined me for serious conversation for the rest of the day.

Sanity -> RE: US to bail out Greece? (6/9/2011 10:39:39 AM)

Think, people, its not complicated -

1. Obama proposed the bailout (see the OP)

2. Lucy wrote

quote:

The bailout money goes to cover the losses by Goldman Sachs

So... according to Lucys logic, either a. Obama is a moron... or b. he is in Goldman Sachs' back pocket.

Take your pick, I just happened to choose b

I understand Mark, many on your side are rarely good for serious conversation, though you are definitely a lot sharper than most are on the left.

I didnt write it Fellow did
fucking hell
and he was talking about the FIRST Bailout

Sanity -> RE: US to bail out Greece? (6/9/2011 10:46:48 AM)

Heres what you wrote, word for word:

LMAO and you expected more??
Fellow is right when he says <snip>The bailout money goes to cover the losses by Goldman Sachs, GM Morgan Chase and other multinational banks. They, of course, created the problem.</snip>
The world is not recovering well from the fuck up of the big banks. Leaving countries to fend for themselves is gonna do more harm than good.
Runaway and hide? well done America
Has naff all to do with being a socialist country
anyone who thinks that also thinks all lefties are communists
and we know just how dumb that is to use as truth
well most of us do

And Fellow was talking about the Greece bailout, which (news flash)  thats what the thread is focusing on.

Proceeding from facts not in evidence leads to greater absurdity than the original post.

Obama proposed no bailout, he strongarmed merkle and others in europe to pony up some cash for the bailout 2nd round and we would help thru IMF which puts everyone in perspective.

The second bailout if it comes from IMF is something that will be done by the gal from france, if she is given the job, not by obama.

Have you assassinated the president yet Tom, or are you still a communist and bowing to goldman sachs?

Sanity -> RE: US to bail out Greece? (6/9/2011 10:59:36 AM)

Again, a leftist argues that Obamas speech was nothing other than hollow rhetoric.

But I can understand why one would have that impression, given Obamas history.

"So we do see clearly our European responsibility and we're shouldering that responsibility, together with the IMF." With U.S. unemployment at 9.1 percent, Obama has blamed outside forces for impeding the economy, including high fuel prices, the earthquake in Japan and the euro zone crisis.

His words mean nothing... ?

mnottertail -> RE: US to bail out Greece? (6/9/2011 11:04:36 AM)

again a rightist is talking about nothing raving and ranting incoherently, and calling it fact, and furthermore paranoiacally saying everyone attacking him and whining because republicans as known liars are being called known liars, and given their history I can understand his whining about their being known liars.

mnottertail -> RE: US to bail out Greece? (6/9/2011 11:08:08 AM)

So we do see clearly our European responsibility and we're shouldering that responsibility, together with the IMF.

Uh we got 17% of the money in that bank buddy.  Your words mean nothing, Tom.  His mean some 14 Trillion bucks.

Like an ant saying an elephants trumpet is nothing, just before he gets pissed on.

Obama Presses Europe, Pledges Help for Greek Crisis

Read the headline to the CNBC article mnot, and get your first clue.

Step outside the world of spin for a second, you seem to be losing your losing your grip on reality

I READ THE ENTIRE FUCKING ARTICLE SANITY.
You have never had a grip on reality, spin or no spin. YOU GET A FUCKIN CLUE TO BEGIN WITH, TOM.

You do realize that if the IMF says ok Greece, second round of financing, we dont have that money already sitting around jacking its dick  in the IMF bank and neither does Europe, get a clue on reality, Tom.

Further, if they dont pony up their respective percents, then we are going to end up on the hook for more, thats what we get for freeing the people of Iraq and other entanglements the clueless rightists have gotten us into.

Its a european run bank, but if it commits us, we are committed,
find out what the fuck you are blathering about before running inchoate asswipe all the time.

This is me being an adult
I read more into Fellows comment than I should have. Mea culpa
The fact that you kept insisting I wrote it,  stopped me from seeing it before now.

Now suck it up. The rest of my post stands
"The world is not recovering well from the [insert] continued[/insert]fuck up of the big banks.
Leaving countries to fend for themselves is gonna do more harm than good.

Any other pertinent questions now Ive admitted I misread his post?

Right, so let's look at that OP once again, or, if I may, the link to the news article therein:

http://www.cnbc.com/id/43321461

The only thing in the article referencing a proposal says ...

"A proposal for a second Greek bailout package worth 80 billion to 100 billion euros over three years was taking shape, euro zone sources said."

The proposal was and has been taking shape for well over a month now, but here is the date on the article indicating Obama's recent toss of hat into the process that has been going on for some time already.

Published: Wednesday, 8 Jun 2011 | 2:05 AM ET

And just after that:

"President Barack Obama on Tuesday urged European countries and bondholders to prevent a "disastrous" default by Greece and pledged U.S. support to help tackle the country's debt crisis."

That would be the Tuesday falling on 7 Jun 2011.

Here's one of about a couple million news stories on the subject:

http://www.handelsblatt.com/politik/international/schaeuble-berater-erwartet-schuldenschnitt-griechenlands/4078018.html

Notice the date: 19.04.2011, 13:20 Uhr

That's the 19th of April.

And then here is the article referred to within the article in the OP:

http://www.cnbc.com/id/43297188/

See Obama's name anywhere in that?

I realize that you spend large amounts of time searching for anything to do with your object of obsession and in pursuit of your repressed adoration of the man, but I think this leads you to see his name even where it ain't sometimes.

Since this is obviously quite complicated for the OP tomato tosser, I should have 'brought closure' to my previous post.

No he did not.

It is comforting to know that in this topsy turvy world of ours all one needs do when one needs a laugh is follow a sanity thread......a million laughs will soon ensue as you watch the sane one do the loopydoo. [:D]

Sanity -> RE: US to bail out Greece? (6/9/2011 12:04:27 PM)

CNBC is a far better source than you are...

Nothing personal though. [:)]

Sanity -> RE: US to bail out Greece? (6/9/2011 12:09:37 PM)

I suppose that since leftists have to mince words very finely and call people names etc in order to give themselves the illusion that they have ever won a debate, technically Ed may be correct.

Obama didnt "propose a bailout" he merely "pledges help". [:D]

That, according to CNBC.

mnottertail -> RE: US to bail out Greece? (6/9/2011 12:11:16 PM)

Well, Tom, we all know we are unlikely to retrieve actual facts from Faux nuze, but I am betting nobody wants you to point that out, you have had enough of an education today.

Hope it sticks.
