That's why informed people read more than watch cable television. Not much education needed to watch the tube, which explains your 'knowledge base,' such as it is.

All the partisan blame on both sides is nothing but seeing what each wants to see. The bailouts were going to happen, no matter who took the White House or Congress. Whether they were a good idea is debatable. Helpful? Somewhat. But definitely at a cost, no denying that. Could it have been done better? Probably. Would it have been done better, by either party? I really doubt that. Politics is paramount on the Hill.

Its a pity that the people of Greece do not understand that their enemy is not their government, but rather their enemy is the global financial world. CNBC this morning shows Dow futures here are up over the police in Greece getting the upper hand on protests. What sucks for Main St is good for Wall St. Some talking head just suggested that if Greece went to all-electronic currency, they could stop all the tax cheats there and close 80% of the shortfall. Amazing how the grand solution always involves a loss of financial privacy, and assigning all the peons a number. The Bilderberg plan is almost complete.

What are you talking about? Republicans care quite allot, as they damn well should, considering how much they get paid to care about what they are paid to care about. A few trillion for wars, a few trillion for bailouts, pretty soon we're talking real money here. We still give millions in subsidies to an oil company who makes twice the profit of the next highest level profit company, don't we? If anybody says that Republicans don't care, they aren't paying attention. PS I'm not much the fan of Democrats either, just to have that straight.
