Agreed, the republicans are goons, thugs and bullies.  I noted that there were a great deal of students in the protest, as well as cops.

The kids there for the special olympics did not look even 1/10 as intimidated as you are.

Do not make the mistake that because I appear to agree with you that these particular Union folk are low down dinks that I am with you on the whole left=bad/evil/dumb right=good/noble/smart bandwagon. The same shit goes on in the right as much as the left. As far as I'm concerned the left and the right are mirror images of each other... each side too self asorbed to see it.

Save for the occasional spouting off (one of my reasons for being on CM) I am quite possibly the worlds greatest "live and let live" guy. The unions may have legitimate grievances... but that's not the point. The point is that in this particular case, these particular people are acting like shitheads... and, in my not always so humble opinion, they should be ashamed of themselves.

ETA: the other thing that irks me is the whole "guilt by association" bullshit that passes for 90% of the "debate" on the political board. "Oh look, someone on the left/right has done something despicable... that proves they're all despicable." What a crock of shit.

Are you asking wheter or not we should ignor these peoples grievances because they are acting like dicks? If that is the question then my answer is a lound, unqualified YES! An exaggeration fueled by your own bigotry and that same guilt by association shit I’ve already mentioned: “its not us! It’s them! See what they do!”)… and irrelevant to this situation anyway (I didn’t see anybody attacking them in that clip). Now, before you get your panties in a twist and start making links to some clip of baseball brandishing republicans drooling in primal glee as they whack sweet innocent union people who were only trying to escort crippled orphaned girl scouts across a busy street…. I do not in anyway deny that there has been shit from both sides and the same goes for republicans/conservatives/whatever as for the left: If you can’t act like a decent person then shut the fuck up, go away, and don’t come back until you can behave yourself.

For me the bottom line in this situation is this: A decent person would ask themselves: “is there any legitimate reason for me to ruin this enjoyable time for these people who have done me no wrong, who have not harmed me in any way?” The answer to that question should be obvious… but some dinks are just to self-absorbed to see it.

Just admit it, Lucy. What these thugs, goons, bullys, assholes, pricks, morons, halfwits etc etc etc  did was unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on all unions - especially those in the Wisconsin area.

At least they used good American Union Thugs, and not those cheap immigrant labor thugs, and not outsourcing their thuggery to cheap foreign thugs.

Keep Thuggery in America, where it belongs. Besides, it will help our Balance of Thugs deficit.

The Thugs Union also has a good self-supporting pension and health care system.

Status: offline 		You are off the deep end on this one Marc. not me.  I didnt see them attacking anybody else in the clip either, I saw no intimidated nothing.  And I am not just talking about that protest.  There has been something up there on the news since at least february that you have been missing.  

They protested when the governor was in public, they will continue until he is recalled.

The governor is the asshole, he should have sent someone else.

Remember these 'special olympians' have teachers too, some of which were there I warrant.  And there were students protesting as well.

The dick shit is on you man, look, there would have been no reason to disrupt that ceremony if the lawless republicans had acted like other than dicks.

So, if we were to see a nazi criminal running thru a clown parade, we as adults would say, hold on now, let him go, because the innocent might see...............
