BitaTruble -> What's wrong with Mitt Romney? (6/10/2011 2:08:35 AM)

He's seems a reasonable fellow, very intelligent, articulate, an established and well-respected businessman with loads of executive experience, a little flip floppy but no more so than any other politician. He's anti-choice and that's a deal breaker for me, personally, but I would think the GOP would be creaming in their pants for him. I understand the mandates in MA in regard to health care, but I can't buy that this one single issue would cause the GOP to eat its own young. In the general election against Obama, Romneycare is state, Obamacare federal, so while not exactly a wash, Romney gets the squeek for state over fed. From what I gather, his plan is working over there in MA.. isn't that a good thing? Romney comes across to me as the conservatives best and brightest so, obviously I am not the brightest because I just don't get the animosity for him from the GOP? What am I missing? Why doesn't the GOP want to see this guy get the nod? ::sits in class and waits for the teacher to 'splain it::
