He was shitting his pants trying to figure out how he was going to lift a 20+lb fish on 12lb test. Felt bad for him cause he was all alone , so I bummed an 8' gaff off the herring boat guys... Folks from your country as a matter of fact. And as true Canadian mariners, they were quick to volunteer the gaff. I told the guy after landing the fish, "When you bring those guys back their gaff, make sure you welcome them to gloucester bud. They could have just sat there drinking their beers enjoying the show you were putting on.".
