PatrickG38 -> A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:30:25 AM)

I have produced this list as a Public Service to help those on here who sre sincere, enjoy:

Easy Tells:

The girl violates the laws of physics. This describes about thirty percent of profiles. That she’s 5’4” and 60 lbs should be a warning.

The race and photo do not match. The number of blond, blue eyed, fair skinned native and African-Americans is fascinating.

There is an email address in the profile. No one serious would broadcast such information.

The phrase "retire from the lifestyle" is in the profile. Being in this life style is not like being a bus driver where you leave after twenty years.

More challenging Tells:

Conflicting interests. If you see a girl who ‘lives for’ intellectual discourse and astrology, that is a warning. If you see spanking as a hard limit, she probably is not too serious about the lifestyle. A lot can be learned from the interests list.

There are significant grammatical or spelling errors in her profile. Remember, she is supposed to be a woman, and women are usually careful. This is a good sign you are dealing with a man.

She expresses an interest in cock photographs. If she does, you are talking to a gay man.

On her profile or within thirty seconds of communicating, you have received pornographic photographs. Truly tasteful erotic photographs do not automatically indicate a fake, but pornographic photos provided very quickly are a giveaway.

She looks like she could pass for a supermodel. While I know it is challenging for supermodels to find straight dominant men in the fashion industry, most have not turned to collarme so they can serve you without limit.

Potentially difficult tells:

She thinks it is cool you are over thirty and live with your mom. She does not.

She thinks it is cool you are over thirty and still go to Star Trek conventions. She does not.

Obviously this is very incomplete and I would hope there will be numerous additions.

She wants to be a slave, but she lists she is actively seeking switch males. Does this really make sense to you?

I hope this helps separate the wheat from the chaff. There are some wonderful girls on here, but there are swimming in an ocean of frauds.

Don't forget that not everyone uses the same measuring system that is used in the US (which is where CM is based).  Not everyone thinks to do the conversion.

The race and photo do not match. The number of blond, blue eyed, fair skinned native and African-Americans is fascinating.

Not all folks who are identfied as tribefolks fit the stereotypes. Also, since I have yet to see an option listed as "white African", it seems to be default setting.

There is an email address in the profile. No one serious would broadcast such information.

Nobody who is net savvy.  Not everyone is.

The phrase "retire from the lifestyle" is in the profile. Being in this life style is not like being a bus driver where you leave after twenty years.

If, after the time I have been involved in WIIWD, I decide to take a break, or stop entirely, retire is as good a word as any.

More challenging Tells:

Conflicting interests. If you see a girl who ‘lives for’ intellectual discourse and astrology, that is a warning. If you see spanking as a hard limit, she probably is not too serious about the lifestyle. A lot can be learned from the interests list.

So, someone with many and varied interests is a fake?  As is someone  who has experienced spanking and finds it not to their taste?

There are significant grammatical or spelling errors in her profile. Remember, she is supposed to be a woman, and women are usually careful. This is a good sign you are dealing with a man.

Or a woman who is dyslexic, or less educated.

She expresses an interest in cock photographs. If she does, you are talking to a gay man.

Or a woman who enjoys viewing cockshots.. there are many who do

On her profile or within thirty seconds of communicating, you have received pornographic photographs. Truly tasteful erotic photographs do not automatically indicate a fake, but pornographic photos provided very quickly are a giveaway.

Or, she could be an indiscriminate exhibitionist

She looks like she could pass for a supermodel. While I know it is challenging for supermodels to find straight dominant men in the fashion industry, most have not turned to collarme so they can serve you without limit.

Or she wasnt comfortable using her own pics for whatever reason and opted to use random photos of gorgeous women as avatars

Potentially difficult tells:

She thinks it is cool you are over thirty and live with your mom. She does not.

well, if you tell her that you're living with mom because mom isnt well/is having financial issues/lives in a bad neighborhood/ or you've been downsized why WOULDNT she think you're cool?  Especially in this economic climate?

She thinks it is cool you are over thirty and still go to Star Trek conventions. She does not.

What if it's something she's into as well?

Obviously this is very incomplete and I would hope there will be numerous additions.

She wants to be a slave, but she lists she is actively seeking switch males. Does this really make sense to you?

sure, why not? I see no problem with a sub/slave wanting to get her top on!

I hope this helps separate the wheat from the chaff. There are some wonderful girls on here, but there are swimming in an ocean of frauds.

I'm not saying you're entirely wrong, dude.. but sometimes, things are far more grey than black or white.

MsLadySue -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:47:06 AM)

Oh Patrick, you are going to wish you hadn't written this list for all to see. I'm hoping for your sake the regulars pass by your post cause you may not like the responses it generates.

These lists turn up all the time and the regular posters here get a tad upset that anyone thinks we need a list to know who are fakes. Keep in mind we are adults and as such we see the same oddities in profiles that you've noticed and know to block, delete or ignore.

GreedyTop -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:48:49 AM)

*points out that I was quite nice, Ms Sue!!*

MsLadySue -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:51:03 AM)

Yes you were and I am mightily impressed. Just goes to show I can be wrong too.

Back2theFuture -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:52:11 AM)

First of all no sane or Intelligent person needs a guide.

You would be surprised.

Actually some people do leave. They out grow it or lose interest or become disenfranchised with the people.

Women are just as bad as men

Speaking as a model most actual models don't like to date models or extremely good looking guys, they prefer ordinary men. Which is how guys like Seth Rogan(who are plain or down right ugly) get really hot girls.

Honestly you are not the first guy to start one of these threads and you will not be the last whose thread gets deleted by the Mods.

mnottertail -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:53:03 AM)

Seth has money which I understand looks alot like love.

Bstardsbitch -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:53:41 AM)

What a load of bollox !!
Don't think there is anything else to say on this matter.
Play nice
xx

PatrickG38 -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:54:27 AM)

LOL. It's a guide. I am sure there can be certain exceptions as with any guide, but I would point out that feet, inches and pounds are the same everywhere. Now if someone listed 60 kgs, that is a different story.

I was impressed too.. I am proud of how I managed to rein in my snarkmonster..LOL

(I hope you are having a great day!)

*edited to add a mistakenly deleted word*

Bstardsbitch -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:56:58 AM)

Patrick, are you single by any chance?

PatrickG38 -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:57:14 AM)

Seth also has celebrety which is a worshipped commodity in our vapid culture. That being said he has a great sense of humor and a woman could greatly value that. I still suspect very few supermodels have turned to collarme..lol

Not everyone catches that that IS an option .. (which has been touched on in other posts going on about fakes, in the past).

dude.. you're trying to reinvent the flat tire here....

JstAnotherSub -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 6:57:50 AM)

Funny, my list of how to spot a fake includes folks who make a list and try to tell me how to spot a fake.

The fact that you took the time to type this, and probably even thought it would help some one, well, just bless your heart.

Not only that but it feeds the girls ego, because that guy will do anything too keep her because its very unlikely that he will ever get a girl that high above his level again.

Yes I like hot women,and trust me I have no problem landing model level girls who just like me because I am hot, but I do like a girl who has more to her than just looks so I will date a girl who isn't model quality because I like her personality.(that or she fits my Domme requirements)

PatrickG38 -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 7:00:14 AM)

No not single.

GreedyTop -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 7:02:36 AM)

*whoa there, Snarkymonster!!  Whoa, big fella!!  We agreed you'd play nice today!!!*

EDITED:  Snarkymonster wants to know:  if you're not single, why on earth do feel it necessary to preach on a subject that has already been done to death (and which you've added nothing new), and why the hell are you spending so much time on finding those allged fake profiles?

*back to GT*  sometimes, Snarkymonster takes over...

PatrickG38 -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 7:03:27 AM)

One tries to help. One also occasionally get a touch bored at owrk and type things. We are supposed to be a community so sharing some insights would seem appropriate. If you already know all of this great.

And you realize of course that most of the world is metric. That would make you TO THEM (actually,US) a total an utter fake.

I will make sure all my female students know they are in fact men.

While perhaps your heart is in the right place, why do you think we need you to tell us this? Do we seem stupid? Certainly newbies need some help, but most of the newbies aren't perusing the boards... I don't think so anyway. I could be wrong.

GreedyTop -> RE: A Guide to Fakes: (6/17/2011 7:07:09 AM)

AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

he used the C word!!

*curls into a fetal position and starts whimpering and moaning*
