Looks like the English on the right like to lie and pretend by making up fake stuff.

1984 was a leap year.  But you conservatives on the far right from England can pretend it wasn't.

Typical right behavior.

Lol.

Politesub53 -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 3:52:55 PM)

I know it was a leap year. Lucy proposed to me but I am still thinking about it. [8D]

mnottertail -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 3:54:53 PM)

I never said you said it was a leap year, why are you making up fake quotes and lying and pretending.  But that's ok with the right.  You English conservatives will never be as sad and pathetic as our hard right.

LOL.  I am even better than it is.

Politesub53 -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 3:57:41 PM)

I know it was a leap year, because it is divisible by two, twice. I didnt even need a calulator.

mnottertail -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 4:00:21 PM)

A year will be a leap year if it is divisible by 4 but not by 100.

If a year is divisible by 4 and by 100, it is not a leap year unless it is also divisible by 400.

Politesub53 -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 4:14:32 PM)

I never mentioned half of 800. You pinkos just make stuff up.

mnottertail -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 4:27:48 PM)

how drolll is the usualll  anti-semitic remarks you are making 800 posts about.

Politesub53 -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 4:34:41 PM)

Its all right for you shouting about 400 with 20x20 vision.

TheHeretic -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 6:49:36 PM)

How nice. Those who are familiar with the writings of Orwell have decided it would just be best to drag the whole conversation into the weeds.

Just like the sheep.

Lucylastic -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 6:54:52 PM)

You didnt respond to me
apart from the orwellian crack. Something to do with the lack of decent responses maybe had something to do with it

Baaaaaa aaaaaah
blame the sheep not the herder!

TheHeretic -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 7:01:33 PM)

And what reply were you looking for, Lucy?

Lucylastic -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/21/2011 7:04:36 PM)

well you chose to not respond to it... Ill leave that up to you.
I thought it was a partisan attack on something no where near comparable to what you were hoping to uncover.
and here you are all pissy cos it reached its natuural conclusion before you deigned it so

Threatening to cut the funding is just going to do what?

Oh. You must mean this, Lucy. Ron threw it a bone, and I'm more interested the claim of executive power that is starting the fight, than what Congress has in the toolbag to address it, right now. Unless an authorization goes through pretty quickly, I'm sure there will be a thread about that to come. [;)]

It's tougher with a split Congress, than it would have been for all those Democrats who cashed in on sentiment against the Iraq War to win in '06. The Senate can block the House, and the other way around. It can be turned into a protracted mess that he really doesn't need. Threatening to cut funding reminds the President that he shares power in our system.

This is a right leaning American poster who probably thinks you're a Marxist as well, bear in mind...

He probably thinks i`m Marx himself.

Groucho! What happened to your eyebrows?

TheHeretic -> RE: "Hostilities" (6/24/2011 6:31:20 AM)

With Italy now calling for a cease-fire on humanitarian grounds (which is funny, because NATO started bombing on humanitarian grounds), the latest out of Washington will be closely watched.

quote:

The House of Representatives on Friday is expected to hold two votes on U.S. action in Libya. One will fail and one will pass. House GOP leaders are hoping that the Democratic-controlled Senate will take up the one that passes. Unfortunately for them, the Senate is fixated on the one that will fail. All of which is to say, both sides lack a unified vision of how to handle the U.S.-backed NATO operation in the northern African country.

The confusion might have been prevented if President Obama had just asked Congress before plunging into what amounts to the worst botched assassination attempt in history.

Im just wanting someone to explain to me why negotiated settlement is ok with the Taliban, but not with Libya.

In Obamas view Ghadaffi is worse than the Taliban.....

Why?

Though, I wouldn't miss the look on that nine year old beauty's face when she officially brought her "straight As for the year" report card home this afternoon.
    Moments like that, keep me wishing she never grows past this moment.

You mean you didnt encourage her to share some of her A's with somepne else's C's so they could both have B's? How conservative of you! [:D]

Hardly.  'Somepne' who is deemed a conservative would have been pretty straight Fs in school, and wouldn't have thought that the school administration should be burdened with having to do anything at all for the students except increase the superintendents bonusus.

That is your spin.  There are diplomatic negotiations with Khaddafi with many countries, us and including his own opposition.

We are awaiting his counter proposals on how he is going to step down.

Phone aint rung.
