He sounds flat, she sounds "off" to me, in this particular interview anyway. I hope they do well, but I don't care any more than I care that so many marriages end in divorce. M

I don't watch the show that often.  Gene's hair and ugliness seriously gets on my nerves and Shannon has had so much work done that she looks like a plastic Barbie doll.

My prediction though is that by the end of this season, Gene will beg forgiveness and the season finale will be their wedding.

I don't think they are secret married, for legal reasons.  Even though they are in California which recognizes palimony, the one thing no one can take away from Gene Simmons is that he is a very astute businessman.  He isn't going to give away anything he doesn't have to.

I don't understand the demographics for shows like this.

Who is it that looks at either; a) some member of a band they listened to in HS 35 years ago or; b) has-beens from 35 years ago, before their time.

It's amazing what sells these days.

BTW, the band I was in at the time (way back when) played 'Detroit Rock City' because we thought we had to for the crowd, but it was actually quite fun. Then again, David Bowie's 'Suffragette City' was even more fun.

While we're on the subject, I just watched 3 Jean Simmons movies on the television, and I hardly ever watch the television.

Just a heads-up as to which Simmons people might want to pay attention to.

Well, I was clicking and started watching Chelsea Lately, and guess who is on there? Gene!  Chelsea is on his ass-told him he looked like a fucking idiot, wtf is up with your hair already-lolol.

Odd thing about her; the next time you see her, have a look at her hands. She has the longest fingers I think I've ever seen on a human being.

I think he would like to be seen as one, but honestly, which woman would like to be 5001?

Plus if he had 5000 women, that would mean roughly every 3 days a new one, he was having steady relationships, I can't imagine the women just turning a blind eye to him acting like a dog in heat with other women.

I've seen a few episodes of Family Jewels, I also agree that it is a publicity stunt. Would anybody do a break up on TV? There's hardly anything he wouldn't do to get the ratings up, didn't he have his face lift filmed and broadcasted just to get it paid for? Then the "leaked sex tapes" to get his ratings up, quite funny they claimed something along the lines of "The sex tapes Gene Simmons doesn't want you to see" - to be honest, only a few people even in the media were brave enough to watch them, not enough interest and nobody wants to see an old dude doing the nasty. I don't know if it's true (I don't have the stomach for watching the video) but I heard he left his T-shirt and his socks on, well, personally I think the more covered up he is the better, maybe he should have done it under a sheet?

I guess there will be a big wedding at the end of the season, or even better beginning of next season, he won't just get the venue, catering and clothes for free, oh now, he'll also have plenty of product placement, possibly re-release the back catalog and milk it even more.

Since I got cable like 5 minutes ago I have only seen part of one show of theirs. She was annoyed that he was with some other woman and she was packing her bags. He told her he dint want her to go, she belonged there and he would get help. He has the ugliest hair this side of Donald Trump. I think he should go out and drink something instead of being a womanaholic. It is gross. Skeevy. She stayed and started decorating the place. He showed up with a bag of treat food for her and said he had been to therapy but really had been to the movies. Yikes. The son is a hotty, hope he is not a jerk like the dad.

My friend told me Ice loves Coco is the one to watch, he produces it and has a say in all the takes so no out of context bs. I like Ice-T. I heard they have been married 10 years and are in love? That sounds lovely. She looks hot. I would watch it if I was home and it was on. I used to listen to him back in the day, loved his music.

Just a behavioral economics thing.

Call me sick, but I feel the need to observe the downslide here. And some interest into where attention is focused when real issues are taking place elsewhere.

Bread and circuses ain't what it used to be, but I suppose that's a matter of taste.

I've never watched whatever the Gene Simmons' show is, sorry.  I hardly watch the telly 4 times in a year.

I was only commenting on the fascination with some outdated bad-hair guy in evidence here.
