Yeah, but he seems pretty generous with his own family, 16,000 sq. ft. house, lots of cars, trips, vacation homes, you name it, and it appears that Shannon pretty much has all the credit cards she wants. He seems to have rewarded her well for having his kids. And putting up with him, lol.

I think she also draws an income and uhhh well this is on TV, wouldn't look good if he'd appear to be a cheapskate... To be honest, I hope she has all the credit cards she wants, having sex with him, bearing his kids and the indignity of being seen as his partner - a bit like the master card ad "Priceless"

If Shannon's trade-off for being with Gene is money, than I'm glad she has it and hope it makes her happy.

Except I don't think that's how it actually was. She took her chances and made the bet and this is how it turned out. She made the exchange, and she was not that stupid regarding the bargain. She is getting out as planned. Get a clue people.

His kids are who they are because of her, and he is barely around. He is a dickhead, and I like seeing his family love him despite it and poke fun at him... He is nothing without them.

This is true for most of us(men) though sadly far too many of us fail to realize it

I watched a couple of episodes, and was touched by how grounded, sweet and smart their kids seemed. The second one I watched was the plastic surgery one where both their parents were cut, and how upset the daughter was when one of them had a complication, and although they had a shred of ethics not to film her, I never watched again. So although Shannon is a gold-digger with body image issues and Chaim is a slut and wheeler/dealer with the innate good taste of a magpie, I think their own upbringing helped them parent otherwise well. Best wishes for the kids.
