Honestly dude? Did you actually need Greedy to point out the obvious to you? If you are any sort of a participant on the boards you would have seen that most of us post intelligent things, then silly things, etc. Commenting a recipe for cookies, or a reality show and then jumping to philosopy and politics and religion is what makes one interesting. It is called being multifaceted.

this is why i don't get along with " 'intelligent' at the expense of fun" types -- that "looking down your nose," pompous, self-aggrandizing, pseudo-intellectual "superiority" complex people like that seem to have. for what it's worth, i don't watch "family jewels," but i know enough about Gene to imagine that it's a publicity thing. even if it's real, he'll find a way to make money. an end-of-season wedding, or wedding-planning-season would make him some money and perhaps grab a few chicks and diversify the viewership. and yeah, his hair is fucking HIDEOUS.

Ida Lupino would not be called a -great- actress, but she was pretty good when the ocassion arose. I consider 'The Hard Way' a must see. She was the headliner in the last Humphrey Bogart movie where he wasn't himself the headliner, 'High Sierra.' In any event, she was the first woman that was a movie and TV director as a 'regular job.' A lot of 60's TV shows were directed by Ida Lupino. BTW, a bunch of 60's shows were every bit as bad as any reality TV today. There goes my superiority! Oh darn ...
