oh i wasn't saying there's anything wrong with people who watch it. i just don't. i have "cheap" cable (which doesn't mean anything because it's still hideously overpriced), and there's hardly ever anything on, so my TV is usually off, or i'm just not at home (though lately, i've been home WAY too much).

i'm talking about this guy who's all "what's wrong with you dorks for missing out on the uber-important importantness going on?!" yeah, like GT said, sometimes people want a break. i don't watch a lot of news either.

I have guilty pleasures, I used to watch Survivor when it first came out.

Now this I understand.

What I didn't understand was people tuning in every week to watch somebody they thought was so ugly.

PS

BTW Greedy, if you like L&O, you might want to check into some English translations of the German crime series, 'Tatort' (Crime Scene). I was forced to watch it in some class, but I didn't complain too much. I think you can find some of that on Youtube.

You are just smokin' hot and afraid to admit it, Greedy. I know your type.

But I have to admit to getting all caught up with Ida Lupino here. I never knew this woman directed so many TV shows I had watched in early life.

And further to that, ever heard of Hal Blaine or Carol Kaye? They were the drummer and bass player, respectively, for about 1/3 of 60's music. Ida Lupino was their countepart in directing TV shows in that same period. I never knew how homogeneous things were until years later.

Most people don't know that it was a young woman (a single mother, too) playing that thumping bass on all those Beach Boys songs. Brian Wilson could play bass well enough, as evidenced by their live shows at the time (and on the first two albums), but once he got into the studio and could afford it, he just wanted to hire the best as what available, and he and his brothers and cousin just do the singing.

Hal Blaine played the drums on most of the Beach Boys stuff, on 'Mr. Tambourine Man' by the Byrds, because the record company forced them to use studio musicians on that one (except it was really Jim {later Roger} McGuinn on the 12 string), though the Byrds did all of it themselves from there on out. Secret Agent Man was Hal Blaine too, and several of The Mamas and The Papas songs, Simon and Garfunkel, The Fifth Dimension, John Denver, The Carpenters, Niel Diamond, Nancy Sinatra, lots of movie music (Henry Mancini) and a bunch of other ones.

Well I watched about 10 minutes of it once and he is all over the media because he is a media whore. it takes about half a millisecond to see how ugly he is. I think his hair is real but gone so grey and wiry and then dyed super black so it looks like a brillo pad sitting on his skeevy head.

What is up with thinking us humans cannot multi-task. Think about more important issues of our world and some lame-ass tv show? Tsk, tsking about this not much different is it? We comment you comment, comment comment comment no biggie see? Your opinion someone elses opinion, my opinion. Big freaking deal.

Yep, those, Psychic Investigators, Psychic Kids, Paranormal Lab. My lastest GP is Hardcore Pawn on Tru. There are some crazy people in Detroit, lol.

Okay....I just actually watched the vid....it is sad....she wants something that he isn't offering.....but frankly...never did.....he's always been clear about his gig.....seriously....the only problem is, he's going to have an empty spot in his life.

Ain't my gig to worry about his....he chose that....he'll make the decision to change as needed if he feels the need to do so.

No one was uninformed about this deal.

(For 20 years).

She just decided that she didn't like it any more.

All good.

Now the (real) question is.....does he want her, or does he want to play.

Who gives a flying fuck?

I love this description...

He said no one holds him accountable but Shannon... maybe he needs to read the internet more often
