Something I have been wondering why do some people use uniforms in their relationships? What's the attraction for a Dominate and whats the attraction for a Submissive?

mummyman321 -> RE: Uniforms (6/26/2011 5:45:52 PM)

Uniforms are simply another avenue to express your Domination or submission depending on what side you are on. One of the most popular uniforms is the maid's outfit. A maid is someone who is of service to another. So dressing in a maid's uniform is an expression of submission. Personally I am not a cross dresser but I do very much enjoy serving a Domme dressed in a latex maid's uniform. Whether it be cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry or giving her a massage.

Uniforms also lead into Role Play. But I will let someone else answer Role Play and uniforms.

SabreToothFemme -> RE: Uniforms (6/26/2011 6:45:19 PM)

As i am not really attracted to uniforms i can only answer so far. Tom of Finland draw (i think starting in the fifties) some very sexy men in clothing resemblening the uniform of the us american navy soldiers, for me the drawings are quite sexy.
Uniforms per se are often associated with power and i believe that is the attraction.

I personally drew the line here in Berlin, as at an open to the public SM gathering in a club, 2 people in SS uniforms attentended, with all the insignia, which is not only banned in Germany by law, but what i am not able to take, due to my family. It became - some years back - a very hot topic in the german scene and the pro and contra groups are in their trenches since then.

Would be interesting to have the discussion anew.

I'm not sure that this is exactly on point with your question, but a lot of women love to see a man in uniform. Although I can't speak for all women, my drool factor for a man in uniform is that it represents authority and dominance. Police officers, firemen, military uniforms...yum! I think this may also be why some women have a rape fantasy -- not that they want the violence associated with it, but seeing a man in an all black "uniform" with a ski mask on (and knowing for sure that he isn't going to *really* hurt them), is HAWT.

I'm going to go in my corner to swoon now. :)

HisPet21 -> RE: Uniforms (6/26/2011 8:32:00 PM)

I enjoy wearing the occasional uniform for the reasons mummyman mentioned. They are a way for me to express my submission, and especially with regards to my maid outfit, it helps me get into the submissive mindset. :)

tam has used a short skirt with red heels maid outfit to greet me at the door on her own without warning. This, a collar or the classic "slut" uniform is a turn-on mind-setting reinforcement to her natural tendencies as a submissive woman in full bloom. The attraction for me is that I come home after work and seeing her so attired I will be induced to bend the innocent maid over the arm of the just dusted sofa for a rough fisted hair nd skirt yanked up over her tramp stamp quickie with the hired help. It's a great stress reliever for both of us!

edited to comply with good taste standards.

Tantriqu -> RE: Uniforms (6/26/2011 9:51:55 PM)

A few of my pets have been men in uniform. Although masterful in their jobs, they're extremely obedient, and it's even extra-exciting when they kneel. Interesting why it's so arousing; seeing their individuality shine through a type of clothing meant to distinguish them from the rest of society, yet cause them to blend in amongst their fellows? That at one point in their career they had to submit? Or simply that it's clean and neat, and shows off the male 'V' from broad shoulders to pert ass?
Fascinating!

Edited to add:
And of course, the leather strips of the Roman officer's uniform or the toga of the Greek slave make ass/access much easier for The Centurion and the Empress.

Uniforms do nothing for me.

LadyConstanze -> RE: Uniforms (6/27/2011 3:33:41 AM)

My other half refers to my business clothes as my business uniforms, as I tend to favor severely cut outfits without frills, part of it is vanity, a curvy woman in something that is cut very strict, almost masculine (apart from the skirt) will look even more feminine and part of it is simply practicality, you give the message "Don't mess, I'm not playing around" - oh yeah, and it suits me, so....

Aileen1968 -> RE: Uniforms (6/27/2011 3:52:59 AM)

Cleaning the house as a french maid is much more enjoyable for him to watch than cleaning as an elf.

Hmmm... yanno, I never actually thought of "business clothes" as a "uniform" of sorts, but it does make sense.  I do know that "corporate" look can be very appealing to many.  Thanks for that share!!! [:D]

DesFIP -> RE: Uniforms (6/27/2011 9:28:26 AM)

Uniforms are uniformly sharp and pressed. Neat and clean. Very unlike the ordinary jeans and sweats people otherwise wear to relax in. Business suits are also with pressed creases.

Someone dressed that way makes us think they are focused and together whereas if you saw the same person in a tee and jeans you would view them as lazy and without any ambition. There's a show called How Do I Look where the host gets people to change their mode of dressing by showing them how they are perceived by others, if you don't believe me. It's quite informative as the fashion victim always learns that although they complain no one else should judge them based on their attire, yet they do the same thing to others.

nice and to the point. =p

for me, men in uniforms have an air of authority, and also distance. or an implied/assumed distance that is being violated.
the distance is part of what adds to the eroticism, at least for me.

otherwise something like a sexed-up maid uniform? well like Aileen said, it's more fun than other costumes. =p

mnottertail -> RE: Uniforms (6/27/2011 9:34:14 AM)

and an elf can steal your lucky charms as they are cleaning your kitchen, let's not forget that, so that's definitely out.

GreedyTop -> RE: Uniforms (6/27/2011 9:35:25 AM)

elves are NOT the same as leprechauns, dammit, Ron!!

(get thee down to P&RS)

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Uniforms (6/27/2011 9:37:38 AM)

elves are more likely to go after cookies, which would still be a grave and considerable loss. =p

mnottertail -> RE: Uniforms (6/27/2011 9:42:06 AM)

A kitchen kvetch and klatch of keebler kocklikers and cookie kleptos.

needlesandpins -> RE: Uniforms (6/27/2011 9:53:13 AM)

i don't have a thing for a man in a uniform, in fact i think most guys look silly in something that is supposed to be a show of power but they are anything but. i have been known to wear a maid outfit but for fancy dress.

i'd rather see a man in a well cut suit than a uniform.

~FR~

I am not unknown for my admiration of men in military uniforms.

Hell I even like some police uniforms!

I dont see it as a kink, though..

I also like men in well cut suits...

To be honest, it does help, if you put a spiffy suit on, it's easier to get into the mind frame for doing business, often I can conduct biz via the phone or email, but then I just have that mental image of me wearing a suit, it makes a difference, not for me but how the other person perceives you...
