DarkSteven -> Doesn't marijuana count? (7/1/2011 1:25:04 PM)

I read the profile of a young lady on Fet.  In it, she stated that she was d&d free.

Her profile contained three pictures of her smoking a pot pipe.

Doesn't d&d free imply weed-free?

For me, weed does not qualify as a drug. It is like having a glass of wine or a beer.

Maybe she meant Dungeons & Dragons were a hard limit? [8|]

  It sure counts as a drug in my book .    It causes intoxication  ,  impaired function,  and is not alcohol .    Oh - and by the way - last time I checked ,  it's illegal .

Technically marijuana is classified as a drug same as alcohol. Just talk to anyone who is in AA or NA or the DEA.

Booze causes intoxication as well... Last time I checked dope was not illegal everywhere, and while I don't indulge in pot, I haven't got a problem with people who do, a lot less risky than drinking and if I got the choice of walking through a road full of drunks or a road full of stoners, it's really a no-brainer, what would anybody prefer? Aggression or people wanting to hug you and discuss some hair brained idea they had?

I was speaking for my self. I consider my self to be drug and disease free, but I do drink a beer and have a bit of herbal therapy from time to time.

I understand that yet regardless,weed is still a drug though most automatically think of cocaine, heroin, etc.

JstAnotherSub -> RE: Doesn't marijuana count? (7/1/2011 2:21:35 PM)

Weed is a plant.......that should be legal.....IMHO. Damn feds seem to disagree with me though, the bassturds!

If weed is a drug, then so should booze be, as I said, I don't do the "herbal therapy" (allergic, gives me asthma attacks from hell - plus as a woman, anything that gives me munchies and would lead to weight gain is a no no...) but this whole drug thing seems to be a bit nuts. I could deal with a partner who occasionally smokes just like I could deal with one who occasionally drinks, I couldn't live with somebody who's always drunk or always stoned, but at least stoners are usually very non-aggressive and the addiction factor is less than alcohol.

Several European countries don't care anymore if you got small amounts for personal use, I think the US are heading this way.

A road full of sober people.

Nor would I want to scene with someone who has recently enjoyed a doobie, snorted a line, or downed a few fingers of booze.

Amsterdam seems on its way to curtail some of the pot trade.

I would think D & D free meant no pot. That's how I have always encountered the use of the term.

Oh well, then I hope you never have to live in a big city, where people do drink or smoke pot... Though if walking down a road is the same as a scene, I guess then I'm really odd, for me there is a major difference there...

I guess technically, but when the best pot in town is the stuff the Mounties sell it's a little hard to take it seriously. And I'd much rather be around stoners than drunks.

Quite a bad one, seriously this whole "weed is such a dangerous thing" escapes me, I recall my youth and Beverly Hills 90210, where they would go straight from smoking a joint to being full blown junkies... I wish I could say I don't indulge in drugs, though I have occasionally a glass of wine (just poured myself a glass of marvelous Sicilian Nero d'Avola), can't function without coffee in the morning, I'd go as far as saying I am fairly addicted to caffeine, so I can't see somebody smoking a recreational joint as a big deal.

And just for the record, having a session with any kind of edge play is best done stone cold sober without any kind of influence, though if 2 people know each other well enough and do some harmless fooling around with a bit of a BDSM theme to it, I really can't see a glass of wine or - should they be so inclined - a puff of something herbal as a big deal.

Would I do suspension bondage, blood play or even sounds after a drink? Hell, NO WAY EVER!

A bit of light bondage, dressing up and passionate sex? Uhhh I think I just winked at other half, he winked back and went to get himself a glass of wine...

Yes indeed, they are fed up with stoned TOURISTS, you have to be a resident now to indulge... Still doesn't make it illegal!
