ORIGINAL: joether Depends highly on the GOP candidates. Many of the conservatives hope the 'Generic Republican Candidates' (from the other thread) runs for office, instead of 90% of current crop of GOP hopefuls. Yes, because GRC is totally conservative, says nothing wrong, and is so ideal of a candidate, Ronald Reagan will come back from the dead to say so at a national press conference! Seriously, many of the independents if they haven't said "Obama is STILL better than anyone in the GOP', are likely to wait a few more months. Unlike conservatives, many independents easily recall WHO got us in to Iraq, and then lies about everything regarding it. Many of them understand that Obama got handled a shit economy by 'fiscal conservatives' who spent 'high on the hog' for eight years. They know, that thanks to Obama, we are not in a Depression. Likewise, many of them know friends and family that are getting help under the American Affordable Care Act. Once a historian explains to them just how this economy of ours got screwed up, they'll draw the lines on their own straight to the folks that were in control of the actions: The GOP Congress. Likewise, who got Osama bin Laden? You know, the mastermind of 9/11? The guy that killed three thousand of our fellow Americans in one day? The guy the GOP claimed endlessly that they would get, because Democrats were just 'weak on terrorism'? Americans do know WHO got it, and WHO authorized a highly detailed training of the troops to pull of one of the toughest missions in a long time. Obama no doubtfully has fashioned a plan to get America out of debt (over about 15-20 years), reduce the deficit, get Americans back to work, and keep the nation the 'best place to live' in the whole world. Funny that its been conservatives who have blocked him at every moment, and usually over irrelevant things. The 'Party of No' didn't get its name just for resisting 'here or there' on the budget. The 'Party of No' just for the record help create the wacky, screwed up economy we now have. Their the ones that removed the regulations that kept companies from offering 'loanshark' like deals to unsuspecting Americans who had 'little, no, or bad credit'. Their the ones that allowed the rules to be relaxed on whether a company could secretly jack up the mortages on homes, or get people to sign deals on properties they really had no hope of paying. Their the ones that removed the restrictions that companies have to be honest and truthful to their clients regarding shabby investment deals (i.e. Goldman Sachs and the Dervatives scandal of last year). Their the ones that gave tax cuts to the fithy rich, while increasing the deficit. Their the ones that paid for the Iraq war entirely on borrowed money. They are the ones that allowed a US Debt to go from a 'decreasing' $2 Trillion into an 'increasing' $11.4 Trillion in eight years. On top of that, resisted removing the 'Bush era tax cuts' that would cut significantly reduce the deficit by $900 Billion. They are the ones that block every single effort by economists in the states, the White House, and Democrats to get the nation stable again. Its all there in the history books, independents. Think on that when your at the voting booth. After all, the GOP has stated they want Obama to fail. And if the nation fails as a result, making Obama look bad, there all for doing it! Does that really sound like a group of people you want ANYWHERE close to the controls and levers of the federal goverment? Joether, Oblunder doesn't need any help making himself look bad.
