Of course your comment is absolute horseshit.  The article does not even come close to saying that, nor is anyone quoted as saying that.

Their major cavil is more along the lines of gee, these boards would be in effect us giving up our power to legislate and fuck this up.  We would in effect be abrogating our constituional positions, here.

Yanno, sorta like the republicans trying to abrogate their constitutional duties and pass the debt ceiling buck off on Obama.

Instead of manning up and dealing with it,they formed a fake movement claiming to be grassroots and spontaneous. From all walks and political parties.

But it was bullshit, just a bunch loser republicans , playing make-pretend and dress-up.

They weren`t serious or sincere and HAD to make up bullshit like "death panels",etc. in place of an honest argument.

They HAD to pretend they were new and dynamic, to get attention. If they said "we`re the cry-babies who just lost, now whah whah whah..."how much attention would they have gotten?

Make sure that you get in line first, so that you can get a brown shirt that really fits well. Maybe, someday, you will be able to understand exactly what the insurance business really is. Until then, you are much ado about nothing.

Well why don't you explain it to us...I mean to be honest what I know about the insurance business is that it is a "for profit" endeavor. Is it possible I am mistaken?Perhaps they are just in the health business to make sure Americans remain healthy and live lives free of worry about the onset of critical illness.

By the way...did you really feel it was a good idea to suggest that someone go and get himself a fitted brown shirt in your first post.
We prefer folks wait till they have a hundred posts under their belt before they bring out the Nazi symbolism .....just sayin

No, you have it correct. It is an investment vehicle. All of this hype about "caring"is just that. Obamacare is nothing more than a vehicle to gain a solid voting block for the next election cycle. There WILL be "death panels", it's just in the real world they are called underwriters.
slvemike4u, you have a firm grasp on reality and a clear vision, unlike Owner59.

But this, what has been termed Obamacare,is just a first step...anyone with ,as you say "a firm grasp on reality and a clear vision" can recognize that the journey towards one payer universal care has started.
A little late...but better late than never.

Looks like he lied, but he isn't with fox news so no one will really care. In fact some will come up with reasons why this was a good thing while others will come up with a list of repubs who have lied in the past. Then there will be a handful who will point out that you didn't bitch when so and so lied so why are you bringing this up. It's a shame you can't trust any of them but that seems to be the way of politics.

Well mr nazi reference...

Please,....enlighten us on the insurance business and what it really is.

Though my comments had more to do with why whiny cons are so whiny, than with the OP.

I believe there are death panels. They consist of every insurance company that has ever denied a claim or cancelled the policy of a person who has become severely ill.

Depends on why the claim is denied or the policy is cancelled. They are contracts. If the insurance company isnt justified then there is plenty of recourse. Now, back to the actual content of the thread....if she lied on her DISABILITY policy application about a pre-existing condition, its just the tree that Obama didnt fall far from.

If private insurance is eliminated everyones fate will rest in the hands of nameless faceless bureaucrats

With private insurance disputes there is recourse for certain wrongs, there is oversight

But if leftists win all the power for government that they seek there will be no such recourse

Funny, I can switch that B.S. of yours around, and make it sound just as true from the other side....

If public insurance is eliminated everyones fate will rest in the hands of nameless faceless corporate bean-counters

With public insurance disputes there is recourse for MANY wrongs, there is oversight

But if righties win all the power for their corporate masters that they seek there will be no such resourse.

So if you have a health problem, who can you contact in your private insurance to get it dealt with? And of course there is the 'what if' (cus the human body is always full of unpleaseant surprises) your policy with that private insurance doesnt cover a treatment or drug? Those 'faceless, nameless corporate bean-counters going to care a penny's worth of their time who you are, or give a damn how badly you suffer? Only if your giving them considerable amounts of money; of the six or seven digit sum....

If I have a problem, I can just talk to my State Rep. Generally an except can be made unless many such persons are also facing the same issue. At which point, a change can be made that benefits the citizens and doesnt cost them their soul. Oh, an Mass Health only costs 2% of the total budget to cover 98.6% of the population (assuming they are US Citizens). Does your health insurance cover 98.6% of the folks in your state there Sanity?
