The worst was when we used to walk in an area that had really long, tough wild grass. The mutt would eat loads of it, and it would go through her system. However, it was so tough it wouldn't break down. At the other end, the poo came out stuck to this long grass, a bit like a poo necklace.

Anyway, the poo would come out, but the grass would still be in there. She'd be walking around leading this poo on it's own herbal leash, hanging from her butt. I used to have to grab a polythene bag, but it over my hand and pull out the last 4 or 5 inches of grass.

Damn...the things we do for our mutts...*gags*

Ahhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhh........all of my dogs graze like horses. And yeah.......I can really really relate.

So do I... I'll pickup some leaves or so....
And once I had the vet stunned, by telling him my dog ate onion, garlic, and so...

But now I'm feeding partially raw food, that's over.

Well that is good as I believe onions can be toxic to dogs.

Marisol -> RE: Why the hell dont we ever talk about dogs? (7/30/2011 11:05:59 AM)

I have two dogs(well not counting my mom's two).

The first is Sam, my Golden Retriever. The second is Thor my puppy, he is half German Shepard and then part boxer/chow chow. An odd mix, but he's adorable. This picture is just of Thor. It is the first day I brought him home. The lady I got him from had him covered in feces from the other puppies, and he had flees. He got a bath right away!

I managed to get a video of Daisy checking out the new treadmill. I put the speed at one and she was playing on the treadmill. She was trying to walk on it like she saw me walking on it, but she got a little scared. At first she got on and just sat on it while it was moved and she plopped off the end. So, then she resorted to just scuttling over it back and forth. It was a shorter distance for her to go over it sideways versus length wise. Of course Taylor had to sit there and bark incessantly because he was concerned.

IN RESPONSE TO THE EMAILS CONCERNING MY DOG Please be advised I am sick to death of receiving questions about my dog who mauled six illegals crossing the border, four Republicans wearing Palin 2012 tee shirts, two rappers, ten CM programmers, five phone operators who asked me to press #1 for English, nine teenagers with pants hanging past their cracks, eight customer service desk people speaking in broken English, and three Westboro "Church" members. FOR THE LAST TIME...MY DOG IS NOT FOR SALE

We're not sure. He was feral & he never would say. Our best guess was Chihuahua & Jack Russell. But there were times that I saw Corgi in him too. I think he was just your basic mutt with all sorts of breeds in there.

soul2share -> RE: Why the hell dont we ever talk about dogs? (8/6/2011 3:53:37 PM)

What great pics of furbabies!  It's wonderful the love they give us, the way they can make your whole day brighter just by giving you a lick.  My dog Shiloh was abused terribly as a puppy, but he was the greatest dog ever!  (I know, we all say that...but he was!)  He'd smile, he'd listen to me talk, he was sometimes too smart for my own good!  No matter how rotten a day I had, I knew that he's always have a happy smile for me at the door, and he'd bring me his tug to make me feel better.  OK, maybe it's because he wanted to play, but you can't be miserable when you're playing with a dog....it just can't be done!  I dare you to try!

I miss him, but know we'll meet up at the Bridge.  And he's got several other family pets there to keep him happy til we do.

Are you going to breed him and are the puppies for sale? Btw the girl dog goes mental if somebody wears a hoody and pants hanging below the butt cheeks, not a clue why, she usually loves everybody and everyone, but that combination turns her into snarling monster and I have such a hard time reprimanding her, patting her on the head and telling her she's a good girl surely should suffice? And by doing so she showed the boy that one should not like those people... Oh and while both love the postman, the bin men and kids, those door to door salesmen and anybody trying to sell me religion is greeted with snarls - my dogs are distinctively anti-religious. Makes me wonder if people trying to peddle religion have a certain smell that's offensive to dobies?
