Status: offline 		PA, perhaps you should go back and read the thread, what people are doing is explaining to DBG over and over and over again that what she is doing IS ILLEGAL and how and why.  She keeps trying to create scenerios as to why it may be legal what she is doing.  People are telling her no.

Just because she was able to do what she was doing, and nothing was stopping her as it seems to be now, doesn't mean it was legal when she was doing it before.   I mean hell, you can walk out of a store with something you didn't pay for and not get caught -- doesn't make it legal.

I just found out I can have unlimited recording space without deleting anything. According to my satellite provider, all I need is an external hard drive. Problem solved - and not illegally.

IMO she ought to just get a 2nd DVR.     Then she would have ample space to store her favs.

I checked into that once. Only a limited number of movies were available for download. The rest were physical copies sent to the home address and had to be returned before ordering others. One of my roommates is afraid to download movies from netflix because he thinks he'll get a virus.

They are constantly adding movies, and the collection is pretty damned good at this point. They also have you rate movies, so that they can recommend ones that you might like based on your tastes (I confuse the hell out of it, because I will go from 'Romancing the Stone' to 'Children of the Corn, Part V' to 'Presumed Innocent' ). They also have a growing collection of TV shows, although Hulu has the older ones that I like best.

As for getting a virus, I've been using Netflix every day for months and have yet to have an issue.

Status: offline 		I don't think so.  You click on a movie it does something and then buffers and hit play.  I don't remember seeing an option to  to save the movies at all.  They were in my que and i could watch them whenever i wanted.  When they went away from the streaming video i had the option of ordering them to view at home for as long as i wanted.

DBG, i don't get it, why don't you just buy movies you want to keep and watch forever?  IS buying something you want to own so badly you steal it, really that big of a deal?  You seem to desperately be trying to get them without paying for them, while that may be your integrity, i really don't get why?
