Yes.

Try to think....vegan.

Are you really vegan?

Well i totally respect that... I tried to go vegetarian twice... But I simply cant ._. I get too depressed, because the taste of meat is too good for me to resist, and whenever I smell a bbq or something, I get longing x_x

I've considered trying it again recently, mostly because of health reasons. I just wish I had a stronger power of wil X( I don't come with those.

I've been veggie for quite some time. Very close to 100% of the time the smell of meat cooking (in any form) smells rancid to me. So just think, if you go veggie, most likely that mouth watering from the smell of bbq will disappear! :D

Edited for grammatical correction. :)

'So, why are you Dominant/submissive?

Having the power ripped from me leaves me breathless, small and vulnerable. Ripping the power from someone else gets me giddy and high and makes me laugh.

RaspberryLemon -> RE: Why are you Dominant/submissive? (7/30/2011 9:57:49 PM)

So this seems to be a nature vs. nurture question?

When it comes down to it, it's a personality trait like anything else. I'm with the majority of those psychologists and scientists that say it's about 50/50. My genetic make-up along with the environment I was raised in/experiences I've had in my life is what developed me into the person I am today. It feels natural for me to submit to my Master, and I believe that it is my place as his girl and pet to be subservient to him and that it is his place as the man to be in charge. However outside of my relationship, I am stubborn and hardheaded and I do not let anyone rule me or push me around--this also feels natural to me. It's just who I am as a person.

And to the crazy pizza question, my favorite pizza toppings: pepperoni with mushrooms, green olives, and tomatoes. I absolutely love the taste of meat (but I highly dislike sausage pizza.)

EDIT: About the index-ring finger thing. Both of my ring fingers are a few millimeters longer than my index fingers. Most of my personality traits and interests are stereotypically masculine and I get along better with men than I do with women (just more common ground/interests/opinions with men than with women.) However, my body is stereotypically feminine (large breasts, small waist, etc.) So even if there is a correlation between the length of the fingers and levels of testosterone, I don't believe that it has quite that large of a universal effect on personality/body type.

But what kind of pizza do you like?

Try to stick with me, folks.

This is *science.*

Well, I figured I might as well make a contribution towards the benefit of *science*.
So for Me, it would have to be a meat lover's pizza, with extra meat.

Dang! That sounds extremely yummy!!! Crispy crust, right?

*drool*

littlewonder -> RE: Why are you Dominant/submissive? (7/30/2011 11:36:47 PM)

absolutely....I usually buy some kind of flatbread.

If I'm in the mood for meat I might throw some serrano ham on top. Yummy

Tantriqu -> RE: Why are you Dominant/submissive? (7/30/2011 11:47:49 PM)

Oh, now we're onto TYPE of pizza?
Thick crust, half Canadian [pepperoni and bacon, but half-portions] and double veggies [mushroom, artichoke, spinach and broccoli], from a particular pizzeria in Little Italy. Anchovies if I'm feeling sadistic, but hot pineapple on a pizza is just perverted [:'(]

DeviantlyD -> RE: Why are you Dominant/submissive? (7/31/2011 12:16:44 AM)

Pineapple on pizza is yummmmmmmmmy!!!!! *slobber* I LOVE pineapple on pizza!!!!

One of the best store bought pizzas I've eaten lately is Tandoor Chef's Cilantro Pesto Naan Pizza. Normally I'm not a big fan of pizza without tomato sauce (though there are exceptions) and I'm definitely not a big pesto fan, but this stuff is awesome and it has a nice spicey edge to it.

I've considered trying it again recently, mostly because of health reasons.

Actually there are no health benefits to vegetarian or vegan diets. There are some detriments, but they can be offset by suppliments, vitamins and things.

Humans are omnivores, we require some meat intake to remain healthy, if you cut out meat, you must take supplements to replace it. Unless you have strong moral or ethical reasons for eschewing meat, I very much recommend that you just cut down on it, rather than cut it out. It costs less, and you will end up in better shape.

I take it this is your opinion. That's fine. But it isn't coming from fact.

fatman46 -> RE: Why are you Dominant/submissive? (7/31/2011 2:38:39 AM)

I have never really thought about it. but I love that I am submissive and I look forward to more bootlicking and worship.

areallivehuman -> RE: Why are you Dominant/submissive? (7/31/2011 4:06:50 AM)

FR

I believe my dominant tendencies be natural, born that way.

I have been a strict vegan for the last 3 and a half years, for health reasons. I also eschew the use of any type of sugar, including fruit. I take no vitamins or supplements. I am living proof that the human body does not need meat to function. I work as an auto mechanic, hot, dirty, physical work that also requires a functioning brain. There is not a meat eater in the shop who can keep pace with me.
I do believe that humans were meant to eat animals, it's just that 50 years of diseased meat have taken its toll.

I haven't had pizza since, I gave  up meat, cheese, sugar, and white flour, what would be the point?

Littlekitten,

There are so many really great things to eat without meat that it is just picking from a different set of choices.  I find good vegetarian cooking has more flavor than traditional meat based foods, and it is so much better for you and the environment.  You just need to find really good recipes and shop in different isles of the grocery store.  Indian, Thia, and Mexican are all good types of foods to experiment with new choices.  You can start by going vegetarian a few days a week, and expanding that when you find more delicious meals.

And you can cover so many things up with BBQ sauce and still get that same taste in your mouth, granted, without the grizzle.

I gave up meat for one year at home, but still ate it out in restaurants. The next year, I gave it up altogether. Then, I gave up fish at home, but still ate it out in restaurants. The next year, I gave fish up altogether. Or, as Tristan suggested, a few days a week....you don't have to do it all at once..ease yourself into it.

This is true for any poorly planned diet, and it is probably more true with vegetarian and vegan diets. It would probably be much better choice to eat only hamburgers than iceberg lettuce.  However, this is not true when eating a well balanced vegetarian diet.

From Wikipedia - The American Heart Association states:

"Many studies have shown that vegetarians seem to have a lower risk of obesity, coronary heart disease (which causes heart attack), high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus and some forms of cancer."[link=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veganism#cite_note-25][/link]

And....from the American Dietetic Association:

"It is the position of the American Dietetic Association that appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. Well-planned vegetarian diets are appropriate for individuals during all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, and adolescence, and for athletes. A vegetarian diet is defined as one that does not include meat (including fowl) or seafood, or products containing those foods. This article reviews the current data related to key nutrients for vegetarians including protein, n-3 fatty acids, iron, zinc, iodine, calcium, and vitamins D and B-12. A vegetarian diet can meet current recommendations for all of these nutrients. In some cases, supplements or fortified foods can provide useful amounts of important nutrients. An evidence-based review showed that vegetarian diets can be nutritionally adequate in pregnancy and result in positive maternal and infant health outcomes. The results of an evidence-based review showed that a vegetarian diet is associated with a lower risk of death from ischemic heart disease. Vegetarians also appear to have lower low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, and lower rates of hypertension and type 2 diabetes than nonvegetarians. Furthermore, vegetarians tend to have a lower body mass index and lower overall cancer rates. Features of a vegetarian diet that may reduce risk of chronic disease include lower intakes of saturated fat and cholesterol and higher intakes of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, soy products, fiber, and phytochemicals. The variability of dietary practices among vegetarians makes individual assessment of dietary adequacy essential. In addition to assessing dietary adequacy, food and nutrition professionals can also play key roles in educating vegetarians about sources of specific nutrients, food purchase and preparation, and dietary modifications to meet their needs."

As with any way of eating, vegetarian or not, the key is to eat appropriately. Eating Twinkies and Coke would be just as unhealthy for a vegetarian as for a non-vegetarian.
