fetlife is a hoot. reading white on black is now worse than reading purple on white. So get the fuck over it.

It does take more work, you do have to network which is why the majority of you would fail miserably at it. Hannah would be great over there because she is going to attract attention and she always has something to say and she has a big persona.

the rest of you, not so much. You would just fade into that unreadable black background.

CM is a forced discussion. Big fish in a small pound. You participate in a few discussions and everyone is pretty much subjected to your words, unless you have blocked someone, which is truly the last resort of the pud. (see wilbur)...On fet you have to connect with the people that you dig and be able to navigate the site through the posts of others or by "searching" for those groups that might b of interest to you.

CM is easy peazy jap an easy compared to fetl. Fetl is advanced shit, I literally get blown away by some of the shit I read out there. The pay off out there is so much greater and richer than anything I ever experience on CM.

Only the strong survive, it's a dog eat dog world out there, buck-a-rooz!

I am your totem animal, let me be your spirit guide.

Just because accusations have been made doesn't mean that they are true, got it asshat?

You might want to ask VaguelyCurious about the truth, because you have been lied to and you are so stupid that you are unable to realize it.

I think what is much more likely is the site wouldn't like you.

Arpig -> RE: Fetlife refugees (8/6/2011 5:10:21 PM)

I don't see how VC could possibly have anything to tell me about anything, or how I was lied to. I didn't refer to any accusations, I was referring to posts I personally read here on CM. I'm not sure what you're referring to.

Who's the asshat now?

ETA: Is that gasket maybe getting a little leaky?

VaguelyCurious -> RE: Fetlife refugees (8/6/2011 5:11:09 PM)

Can we not drag me into this, please?

Entirely possible, given that it apparently appeals to you and likes you so very much, I suspect I'm far too intelligent, sensible, and reality based to fit in there.

gungadin09 -> RE: Fetlife refugees (8/6/2011 5:20:49 PM)

Can i be a refugee of the Fetlife Refugees thread?

pam

Arpig -> RE: Fetlife refugees (8/6/2011 5:27:33 PM)

Fuck Pam, you're way to intelligent, sensible, and reality based period.

you should be glad that we all left. For some reason it seems in our absence you have somehow become relevant...Very troubling and puzzling, indeed.

Other than the white on black, I like Fet.  I've joined several groups which I enjoy, so I don't spend a lot of time searching for more, however, if I see someone on my friend's list has joined a group, I'll check it out.

I like that it's kind of like a kinky facebook, as far as sharing pics, talking to friends on your "wall" or even posting your own discussions on your wall that friends can comment on.  I don't do a lot of that myself, but I like the feature, and like to read what my buddies are up to.

I like that each discussion group is "owned" by whomever created it - there is such a variety of groups with their own group rules, I'd think it would be impossible to not be able to find a group that suits a particular personality type.  I've seen groups that don't tolerate anything that looks like a personal attack, groups that insist on being completely uncensored where anyone can jump on anyone in any way they want, to anything in the middle.  If you don't fit with a group, you can find another or start your own, with your own rules.

I like that there are groups for just about everything - BDSM related or not.  There are philosophical groups, food/cooking groups, even wine lovers groups.

For me, it's really comparing apples to oranges, though.  There is no either/or - there's just both.  Fet is good, CM is good.

I agree with all points, especially that dealing with ownership of a discussion group. This works to your advantage in that you can pick a discussion group who's owners support the style of posts that you in particular like to indulge in and will remove and expel those who tend to do otherwise, if you know what I mean, so it tends to stay on topic and very enjoyable for all if you pick the right group. Overall, policing of the threads to keep them on track is inherent in the fetlife method of running discussion groups...if you see favorites of a group owner running over people in a group...no problem because there is a better discussion group available who has ejected the troublemakers leaving them off to the side in their own little group. So, trouble makers tend to stay away from Fetlife or are contained where they should and do stay.

All of this is true. It's just a lot more substantive. Yes you do need to do more than log on though, so if that's a hindrance for some, it's a bonus for the rest of us.

lally2 -> RE: Fetlife refugees (8/6/2011 6:57:33 PM)

... another thing thats great about Fetlife is the flame wars you can get into.  check out Critical Curmudgeons of Kink.  its getting quite bitchy on 'Theres no such thing as Ms or slaves, its just role play' or something like that:)

Suze, what does he mean by "left"? Left what? And who are the "we"?

I think he means the people who left CollarMe and went to Fetlife.

But that doesn't make any sense at all.

Sure it does, Cheri, there's probably lots of people who left here and are on Fetlife. Didn't you see where somebody said there was a whole discussion group to bitch about CollarMe?

Yeah, but that doesn't make any difference, it still doesn't make any sense.

OK, why doesn't it make any sense?

Well, he left CollarMe right?

Yes, that's what he said, he said "we all left", so that means him too.

Then how come he's still here?

You have a point my dear, you have a point. A little ironic, non?

Just a little. And we're the blondes. [8|]

It's a frequency thing.

Trust me, a lot of people have left the building. Before your time, I'm afraid, but he's not bullshitting.

I've noticed though, a lot of them come back sooner or later. Forum memberships all over the web seem to be cyclic, particularly on social forums.

VaguelyCurious -> RE: Fetlife refugees (8/7/2011 1:30:26 AM)

Sure. But then so do loose friendship groups in the real world.

Depending on who your friends are, of course, it happens with considerably less drama, but still - people get busy, or something happens with their family, or they move and then move back....

Listen up, you stupid nits and maybe you will learn something. Do you useless ninkompoops share a fucking brain? I now understand what Hannah sees in you. Absolutely nothing.

Thank God this is written, because I think if spoken I would have to repeat myself several times. You do understand that this does not disappear after you have read it, right? So you can go back and reread it when you find yourselves getting confused.

Neither one of you have points, you dolts, and there is nothing ironic about my statement.

Thank God the two of you are some what attractive. At least God didn't totally fuck you over.

The best posters on this site pretty much flew the coop in unison...hence, "We left." You see, you can actually leave some place and then return. Oh fuck, I can already see the confused looks already forming beneath your dyed hair and blonde highlights.

Aside from leaving high school prematurely, I am sure that you have experienced the concept of departing/leaving a particular place, right? You know, remember when you were shuffled out of the theater after watching the "Smurfs" in 3D? It was cute how both of you repeatedly reached out to try and touch the characters as they "magically' moved off the screen. Anywhooo, see, you both "left" that theater. Now it is very likely that the two of you returned at a later time to try and understand the majority of the tricky nuances of the plot that alluded you in your initial viewing. So, you came back to that very same theater. You left and then you returned. This is fairly heavy shit so I hope you are both sitting down while you are reading this. The blood needs to get to your shared brain as quickly as possible.

For the majority of people this is really not that difficult of a concept to grasp. I am sure that both of you have left other places only to return at a later date, are you following along or is this too advanced for you? Now it probably was not a real job, but much more likely to be you foster parent's residence, a methadone clinic, rehab facility or maybe all those times you had to go back to that one building down the way to try and successfully complete your GED.

Follow me? Okay, cuz this is where dumb motherfuckers tend to get tripped up a bit.

Suze, I already know that Cheri places a big fucking heart in lieu of dotting the "i" in her name, so you are going to have to sit down in a quiet place and explain this to her dumb ass several times.

I hope this has helped. In the future it might be a wise idea to show all of your posts to someone that has some common sense before posting them up here. Try LaT, she used to be a pretty good judge of character and a fairly level headed lesbo.

Peace.
