How does one agree to be laid off? Oh, people jump up and raise their fucking hands en masse at that one, don't they, saying. "I'm all in!!!".

A lot of fat cat union bosses riding around in their Cadillacs and living high on the hog have way too much to lose to let union dues money go where theyre supposed to be going

Status: offline 		Well, we see on another thread that 90K a year is not alot of money, and the fat cat governor and legislature of wisconsin run around in limousines, and fat cat lobbyists and CEOs and other corporate management are extremely put upon these days, hard to make a go of it when you only get 138 million a year before bonus and stock options......

Status: offline 		The Wisconsin legislature and the governor do not run around in limousines. The gov has an SUV driven by a state patrol officer. Members of the legislature drive their own cars and get reimbursed for mileage.

Status: offline 		Oh, way different then. So the teachers are squired around by in SUVs driven by a state patrol officer, or at the very least are reimbursed for their milage, while they are living a string of Fat Tuesdays?

Status: offline 		Every govornor in the country has a driver, usually a member of law enforcement. Nothing new here. The governor of Wisconsin makes $137,000 a year. I guess in a jealous liberals mind, that is a fat cat millionair.

Odd how theres usually little or no money in a union strike fund for the workers benefit but theres always plenty of money to buy elections laying around

Status: offline 		Vs the 37 million the GOP dumped into the state for this election, they out spent everyone. 

Besides, there is another round next week, and several GOPers in Wi have stated they are more willing to move to the middle.

So if the DEMS keep their seats next week, they will only be 1 seat short and with several people saying they would support changes to Walker agenda things aren't as bad as some make them out to be

Unions are dead. Why should public sector employees have taxpayer funded retirement plan that no one else has. If Social Security is all that everyone else has, then it should be good enough for them.



1) Public sector employees pay for their retirement benefits themselves. If there's a match/contribution from the employer, THAT IS PART OF THEIR BENEFIT PACKAGE. Their "Total Compensation". Once you pay them, it's not taxpayer money anymore.

2) I work in the private sector... At a bank. We have PENSION plan... AND A 401K PLAN.... In addition to Social Security.

If Social Security is all YOU can count on, that's your own damn fault.
