A lot of people just think that 20 Billion a year would be better spent on a space program than airconditioning National Guard troops in Afghanistan when they SHOULD just be doing their weekend-a-month-and-two-weeks-a-year. Until THOSE hard choices are confronted ( doomed-adventures-in-occupation vs. feeding American children... ) and the discussion is always spun as "No New Taxes", then resolving the issues will remain an umet goal.
