Does it count if I surf the net on company time if I own the company?

Of course it does!!! You need someone to give you a spankin' for such delinquent efforts. And I'm sorry to disappoint, but it won't be me. I'd rather receive than give, when it comes to ass whoopin's. :D

Wouldn't a true punishment require NOT spanking? ;P

Only if Mr. William is into spankings. And somehow I'm thinking he isn't. :D

As to the last line of your post? Uh, nope. I don't see how surfin' the 'net is appropriate in any job, unless it is your job or part of your job.

I suppose. When I was working under someone else, the only time I would use that spare time to a productive manner.

By the way, it has been proven that workspaces, especially white collar organizations, benefit from occasional break and fun time, etc. It tends to make workers more likely to work and work faster. A month of slaving (no pun intended) and no fun yields less productivity than a month of work and occasional play. It doesn't sound possible on paper, but humans aren't robots, though some of us might like to believe so.

and thinking is productive. you may call it staring off into space, but i call it thinking, and i spend my time thinking about shit that's worthwhile thinking about. i don't need the net to keep my mind occupied. it's a thing called self discipline. if i have fuck all to do i think. that's why i have some shit figured out, that's also why i know what i don't know.

you should try it the next time you have down time. just think. it's like nature's own internet, you'd be amazed at the shit you can figure out about yourself and the world just by fucking thinking it through.

who knows, you may even remember what your name means. [:D]

anyway, i'm still right, it's wrong to be surfing the net on company time unless that's your job, you may not agree, but most employers do, and their opinion matters a fuck of a lot more when discussing employment.

I like the way you think!  [:D]

Impishsub eh? Perhaps she can shed some light on this?

ImpishSub89 -> RE: Freaking bored at work (8/14/2011 12:49:33 PM)

I am done posting on the forum people have the right to there opinions even if I dont agree with how they deliver them.  I have no problem with my actions and neither does anyone around me.  I know I can be productive when the time calls for it and I go above and beyond what I need to for work. So let people slam all they want, the human race is known for finding fault in things and displaying it.  Fight or flight response.  Hence alot of comment being ignored and opinions being stood by.  Lessons learned about posts though none the less.
If anyone wants to continue the hack and slash argument go hard or comment or whatever go hard...

See that's exactly it. It's not like you're doing it when there is work to be done. I have no problem with you filling the dead time here. I've done retail work and shit it can be incredibly dull when there is noone in the store.
