I echo the others in that something either wrong with the guy or became wrong. That is, either he wasn't honest up front or was leery about being honest at the end.

Thank you for your imput Wolfie. I thought about that possibility and but gave it much credence, probably because I didn't want to. This could very well be true since his actions and words were so out of character. He is really is a great person and a fabulous Dom so there must be something going on with him and he was watching out for my feelings.
