The Associated Press and Obama cant even keep their lies straight

Its not a campaign tour

But

quote:

Obama fences, parries at start of Midwestern tour

DECORAH, Iowa (AP) — President Barack Obama's Midwestern tour is offering a mix of offense and defense that signals both his governing approach for the remainder of his term and the evolution of a campaign message for his re-election bid.

Obama is determined to use the reach of his office to build public pressure on Republicans to move his way on economic and fiscal policies, to counterpunch against the GOP presidential field, and to argue for his presidency with independent voters and rekindle enthusiasm among Democrats.

On Tuesday, the second day of a three-day bus tour, he was to spend the day promoting rural economic policies, among the series of remedies he is pushing to fire up anemic job growth. But the measures are targeted, such as making it easier for rural businesses to get access to capital, and far more modest than the ambitious 2009 stimulus package he pushed through Congress when unemployment was rising but still below the current 9.1 percent level.

Its election season - "Release the clowns"

No.
But then they didn't in 2000, either...

Obama: I reversed recession until 'bad luck' hit

I'm surprised that none of the other Heinlein fans beat me to the punch:

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as "bad luck."

It came in the form of the tea-baggers and the damage they did,and it`s all our bad luck(normal Americans).

When I was learning and teaching lifesaving and water safety,we had very grim lessons about the struggling victim from our instructors. My teacher had 25 years of teaching lifesaving under his belt when I was teaching at the YMCA pool.

After every other means of rescue is exhausted, going into the water yourself to save a drowning victim is the last resort.

It`s very very dangerous.

A person gasping for air is a very desperate person and will have super strength and the will to do anything to survive.

They aren`t rational and aren`t thinking. It`s all instinct.

It`s not uncommon for both the rescuer and the victim to go under together.

The basic lesson was that when you approach a victim, you extend a shirt or stick or life-ring.You tell them to grab it and you`ll pull them in.If the start climbing up the stick toward you,you let go and try again.

You never let a struggling victim touch you or grab on to you, ever.

Instinctively, they grab you around the neck and will use you to get their heads out of the water and end up dunking you doing it.That`s how double tragedies happen.

The lesson was to stay clear of them, even if it means they might die.

This is similar, only the victim (our economy) isn`t fighting President Obama, dragging him under water.

It`s republicans bystanders who are grabbing the president around his neck, trying to fight him as he swims to rescue our economy.

In our post-literate society, I gamble that a movie clip from the Blues Brothers will be more understandable than an excerpt from The Notebooks of Lazarus Long.

If you had half a brain you would realize that was a compliment to Bush....and that you told the truth. The problems Obama has faced pale in comparison to what GWB faced, and hes failed to correctly address any of them.

Well, if we are actually talking about a real outbreak of Yersinia pestis, the mortality toll should reduce unemployment due to the number of job openings created. Especially if there is a shortage of useful antibiotics and we are refering to the pneumonic version.

I am always looking for that silver lining!

It would solve the SS problem too. But Im not familiar enough with Yersinia pestis to comment on what it would do to Medicaid and Medicare.

More silver lining

Obama would undoubtedly have a Czar declare any new plague another form of  "economic stimulus"
