I've been watching him pretty closely since the '08 debates, and it seems to me that if he was a racist, he would want more interventionist wars against brown people, and he would want to escalate the war on drugs. In fact, he goes against both parties and ALL the other candidates on these issues. That's far more important to me than the newsletter.
