When candidates say or do things it is important that they take responsibility for them and just saying I didn't say that when it is in their own written record does cause citizens to give pause ... with good reason. Technically his name was on the newsletter but no proof that he actually wrote is.. In fact it was said that a ghost writer did but yes it would give pause and should to people. It did to me when I first heard about it from Lilly. I did take the time to reasearch it further and couldn't find the whole of the newsletters nor could I find where anyone had found out anything more than what was first reported. I then took a look at all of the videos, speeches and looked at voting history concerning this and many other things and couldn't find a solid correlation to "I hate blacks and gays". I actually found the opposite. I'm checking a story now about him refusing medicare because he said he didn't believe in the system and refused to accept it at his practice.. he instead would give discount, make installment arrangements or do his work for free instead of taking the money from the government. "During his medical career specializing in obstetrics/gynecology, he delivered more than 4,000 babies. He refused to accept payment by Medicare or Medicaid, preferring to not charge patients or to work out a cash payment." http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/070323/23paulfacts.htm There are many stories out about him and if you take all you can in and assess it on a larger scale, you'll see why so many don't believe that he would have done something like has been said. Then again maybe you won't but I sure have come to that conclusion.
