Sometimes a thread is pulled and then put back... the mod deletes posts and needs the time to do so.

Now a few are saying RP manager has refused interviews.

REFUSING to vote for DR Ron Paul, IS RACIST!

Got it?

PA?

That stement simply makes no sense.

You get very passionate about things.
But shouting your point when it is just emotion based and not an actual debate point isn't going to _make it_ make more sense.

When candidates say or do things it is important that they take responsibility for them and just saying I didn't say that when it is in their own written record does cause citizens to give pause ... with good reason.

It is better for your case to argue his pluses than arguing against his negatives.
Skip the parts that are indefensible, simply because they are, and put your focus on what matters to you.

Technically his name was on the newsletter but no proof that he actually wrote is.. In fact it was said that a ghost writer did but yes it would give pause and should to people. It did to me when I first heard about it from Lilly.

I did take the time to reasearch it further and couldn't find the whole of the newsletters nor could I find where anyone had found out anything more than what was first reported.

I then took a look at all of the videos, speeches and looked at voting history concerning this and many other things and couldn't find a solid correlation to "I hate blacks and gays". I actually found the opposite.

I'm checking a story now about him refusing medicare because he said he didn't believe in the system and refused to accept it at his practice.. he instead would give discount, make installment arrangements or do his work for free instead of taking the money from the government.

"During his medical career specializing in obstetrics/gynecology, he delivered more than 4,000 babies. He refused to accept payment by Medicare or Medicaid, preferring to not charge patients or to work out a cash payment."

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/070323/23paulfacts.htm

There are many stories out about him and if you take all you can in and assess it on a larger scale, you'll see why so many don't believe that he would have done something like has been said. Then again maybe you won't but I sure have come to that conclusion.

Here you go again:

The only complete article from the Ron Paul Political Report on the Internet that I am aware of is a 1992 piece titled "LOS ANGELES RACIAL TERRORISM," on the subject of the so-called Rodney King riots in South Central Los Angeles in 1991. It is available to us today because it was posted to the talk.politics.misc newsgroup on July 30, 1993 by Dan Gannon, a notorious white supremacist and Holocaust denier, and archived by the Nizkor Project, an anti-revisionism organization that was active in cataloging hate speech on the early public Internet.

Try telling it to this forum and lets see what they say.

Edit: That's part of what I knew as first reported. Sorry no scoop.

Ron PaulBig schedule the next four days. I just arrived in New Hampshire for two days, then to Iowa and then to DC to be on FOX News Sunday.

Lucylastic -> RE: Ron Paul Getting ready for my first trip to New Hampshire since our huge success at Ames. I leave in (8/25/2011 5:53:57 PM)

I see he is in third place on the latest gallup poll...

Icarys -> RE: Ron Paul Getting ready for my first trip to New Hampshire since our huge success at Ames. I leave in (8/25/2011 6:39:30 PM)

I believe that's an increase of 3% while he moved ahead of Bachmann.

He also ranked within 1% of a head to head with Obama. Still real early but he's doing better.

Icarys -> RE: Ron Paul Getting ready for my first trip to New Hampshire since our huge success at Ames. I leave in (8/25/2011 6:43:44 PM)

I think his biggest hurdle is the Republican nomination.

On his military message, a small indicator of his approval for those opposed to more war might be that his donations from military personnel trounces his nearest opponent.

If he can get pass the Republicans, I think he'll do good against Obama (with the Nation as a whole I should say). We'll see.

pahunkboy -> RE: Ron Paul Getting ready for my first trip to New Hampshire since our huge success at Ames. I leave in (8/25/2011 6:50:49 PM)

At times- I think more Dems support him the GOP.   New people who look at him.

Don't forget about people who are disenchanted with both parties (Apathetic voters.. Which I could say I was before this election). I would suspect that's a great deal. I also think they'll come into play soon, once the debates come out and people learn more about him.

It seems that the most popular reason not to vote for Ron Paul is that he didn't proofread a newsletter.
Not A newsletter, but multiple newsletters over a period of more than 10 years. But actually my reason for advising people not to vote for him has nothing to do with the newsletters, it is based entirely on the undeniable fact that he is simply wrong on almost every issue.

The man is a danger to the U.S. and the world.
