I don't see the direct correlation between one being a prostitute & having a lack of integrity. Some see the act of prostitution itself as being full of integrity, because it's a service performed for a fee. Both parties negotiate the services & the fees & do their business based on that mutual agreement. If one promises a certain thing, then doesn't fulfill their part of the bargain, it shows a lack of integrity on that person's part. So that could be the customer or the prostitute.

Since Hannah practiced prostitution where it wasn't against the law, that negates a whole lot of comments on this thread having to do with the illegality of the act showing a lack of integrity on the part of the prostitute. If one is going to equate lack of integrity with the illegality of the acts of prostitution, then it would be women like me who have no integrity, not her. And since I don't believe that I have lived my life without integrity, I'll just let y'all have your own opinions about that & it won't really affect my real life.

You don't get out much? You know health checks prostitutes have and that are mandatory in several countries in which prostitution is legal, the fact that they use all sorts of precautions, like that great invention you might have heard of, condoms?

You're much more likely to get something contagious from banging a girl who's not too picky and will come home with you than from having sex with a prostitute. There are actually statistics but hey, suit yourself...

There are quite a few clients that I can't stand (my personal problem, has nothing to do with the job and doesn't belong in the job), a couple of products which I think are inferior or a waste of money, that's fine, I don't get paid to like them or to become their biggest fan...

No I got that from your recent post but it is here I was just finishing out the conversation with her.


If it's not there then that takes one of the issues off of the table to a certain degree for me. Still not entirely sure that I agree with legalizing it but I might be willing to try it here in the US. Vegas "seems" to have a decent approach to it. Doesn't mean I would use one.

Yet I'd like to point out it wasn't a great thing in her life no? so why argue that it's okay. because she wants to feel okay with it? It's ruined her outlook at the moment and she may never fully recover from her decisions. I'm not so sure I'd rush to say it was a healthy form of earning a wage.

I just wanna point out that almost everyone prostitutes themselves in some way, shape or form. It's called growing up-that point where we have ideas and values, but then let them slide, sometimes it's for a price, but other times for lesser things, someone's goodwill, looking good to another person, getting what we want/need.

I mean, hey, I was a wild, wild child. I mean compleat outlaw. Anarchist, hippy, way the fuck over the edge.

Easy. I pulled my head outta my ass one fine day and realized I was sick of being poor, living a life that was going nowhere fast.
I have these things I value lots, independence, freedom of thought/expression/belief. But I also like things like heat, and having some spare cash in the bank, and credit cards in case of emergencies, and being able to maybe one day send any potential kids (Oh those poor bastards) to college. You know, like live a decent life.

Make no mistake about it. We all self ourselves out at some point or the other. The only question I see that's relevant and may speak something about who and what a person is is, how low will you go?

It's not nearly that easy with me, heather.

Nope I have issues with anyone that justifies something like what I saw on that thread where she said what she said about being a prostitute. She had a shitty post that day and you have many that held her up as right..many of which are in support today. So I see what I see, regardless of my dick.

I also have issue when women automatically dismiss something like what I said as woman hating.

Many women on this forum that I've had very few issues with so it has nothing to do with hating women. you have a brain and a vagina and I haven't ever said "two mean" words to you. So do you fall into that category? I say no but maybe you feel you do?

You can have all of those things (you really don't need that much cash if any depending on how you're willing to live) and more personal freedom without having to sacrifice..at least what I call it anyway.

That is not the issue, the question raised was one of integrity. Her past as a prostitute was used to counter a statement she made about having integrity. Nobody but you is discussing the wisdom of prostitution as a career choice <and I suspect you are doing so in an attempt to steer the discussion in a less embarassing direction> In fact, if you start a thread discussing that aspect of prostitution, I suspect you will find Hanners arguing your basic point of it being unwise most aggressively and convincingly.

For what it's worth, you're not far off of the mark.

Shoot Me.  I'm a straight chick.  I have no vested interest in Hannah's sexuality.  I don't give a shit if she's got a cute ass.  The ones that base their opinions of her based on it should sicken her just the same as the johns she used to service.  All it takes is a little wiggle on her part to put them under her influence.

Is it any freaking shock that she doesn't take most 'men' seriously?
