Oh my God, people are viewing your profile without writing you afterwards, how DARE they! I do it all the time, it doesn't mean anything. I rarely write the person, sometimes because I have nothing to say but mostly because I'm too shy to make the first move. I'm from a generation where men make the first approach and I can't seem to get it into my head that it's okay for the woman to do it. Plus, like I said, I'm just too shy, strange as it may sound.

To what is being said in the below statement. Yes online is odd but it doesn't mean you can't meet someone online. I meet the sub that has been living with me for the last five years online. Of course I talked to him for around seven years before I ever met him in the real world so yes it can be a long road, but it can happen.

which is why i don't do it online. as fucking usual, it really is very simple. online is for making online friends. offline is for making offline friends. it's when you get these concepts mixed up that shit gets messy.

Thanks for your encouragment.. [:)]

Yes, when i first became single i was all in a rush and meeting potentials for coffee, etc and i burned myself out. I know now that it may take a bit of time to find someone right for me, and that means by any method, online or meeting by chance in real life..

Its funny tho, if i werent so picky i could have settled for someone by now but then in settling you arent with someone that is necessarily the best match in which case you will soon be looking again anyway. So,.. better to wait it out and find the right one.. I know I will be happier in the long run... [:)]

Considering Hannah truly believes every man out there is a rapist and would willingly engage in necrophilia, I don't think any attention should be paid to her views on male/female relationships.

I also prefer that the man makes the approach. Because I'm afraid of rejection. I also prefer a confidant man, who isn't afraid of rejection. What that meant was I let guys write me, not me write them. I got one decent email and responded. We struck up a conversation, a friendship, fell in love. And then we met. Not the usual way to do it, but it worked. We're still together 8 years later, btw.

Well, I dont think Hannah believes that exactly, she doesnt trust men and I understand that cuz except for a select few that I have come to trust, I dont trust them either and havent since I was 13 and figured out what the score was with them. And even tho becoming a lesbian has crossed my mind a few times cuz it seems much easier some how, I am just not wired that way, so i am pretty much stuck trying to find the needle in the haystack..

I do think many people have found someone special to them online, just as people have found their special person meeting in real life.. Both ways are still difficult for me, just because i see a guy that attracts me in a bookstore makes him no more right for me than someone online, not until i find out where we are compatible and where we diverge and if i can accept those incompatibilities or not.. There are pros and cons to both methods... makes me almost wish there was an app for that.. [:D]

I love ya Celeste but you are completely off the mark here, in fact you aren't even anywhere close to the mark. Please show me where Hanners has posted something that gives you that idea because I honestly can't think where you got that idea.

you're so full of shit, how many times have you written that you do just the fucking opposite.
come on, a woman gets at least 10 offers every day, i got 4 doing the groceries yesterday. and guess what, while all 4 of them "picked" me - i didn't pick any of them, so they went home and jerked off.

men are like a shotgun, make enough passes at enough women, and one will say yes.

Now THAT'S f&cking funny!!

MalcolmNathaniel -> RE: Random viewings - what to do? (8/21/2011 11:12:09 PM)

For me it's really simple and one of 3 things:

1) You get a visit from me looking at your profile if you've viewed mine.
2) You made an interesting post and I want to know more about you.
3) You happen to be in my area, fit my criteria and the autosearch feature sticks you up at the top.

4! There are four reasons!

4) Sometimes I am bored and just look around.

Five there are five reasons! Cardinal Fang, fetch the comfy cushions!

5)You didn't make a very interesting post but the picture you used intrigues me.

See, the thing is, I always choose "View Full Profile." That means I've viewed the profiles of lesbian Dommes and gay male subs. I did that without any interest in contacting them. We don't have anything to offer each other.

Endivius -> RE: Random viewings - what to do? (8/25/2011 1:00:55 AM)

People view my profile and i could give a shit less. If i recognize one from the forums and they dont write me after viewing my profile so what? Your profile is a very inadequate representation of who you are in the community. You wont get to know anyone from a picture and a few pieces of text. When you walk by someone on the street do you instantly assume you know who they are and what they are like? What about when you drive by some bible thumpers protesting abortion? How about the illegal begging for work? Think.

HannahLynHeather -> RE: Random viewings - what to do? (8/25/2011 1:47:22 AM)

a lot of the time i check out a profile quickly to see if i should refer to the person as a he or a she. take endivius there above me. what the fuck? male or female. no clue from the name. think of palliata who was mistaken for a chick so fucking often he went and made a whole new profile with a "manlier" name.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Random viewings - what to do? (8/25/2011 10:06:54 AM)

I just viewed his profile, because he started this thread and I was curious.  As far as eye candy goes, he's quite a tasty little morsel, so women may be viewing his profile repeatedly to admire the cute little studmuffin's pics.

I use the ignore function for ppl that post that can't seem to put together a coherent sentence. It's simple and effective.

I agree, basically.. I've been with M for donkey's years and I *met* him online. We didn't stay *online* beyond a month. Sometimes an online matey is an offline matey in waiting.

Another friend began as an *online* for a year or so until I got my bum on a plane to Norway to his place and from thence it was offline, with both of us spending time in England and Norway meeting each others families and so on.

I've one other friend who lives in Florida that I *met* 3 yrs ago. We still are *online* friends even though my children and grandchildren chat to her via cam, we do the same with her and her Mom and we exchange gifts. She met M and I at the same time so knows us quite intimately. She knows more about me than anyone else in my life. She isn't an online friend, she's an inbetweeny. :)

*Online* for me is like the people that I play WordFued with...... we are just there to pit wits and skill with the odd bit of banter over the game. The thrust is the game, not being friends beyond that...they are people I have no intention of meeting or getting to know outside of our joint enthusiasm for the game.

Maybe I'll go view him now just to freak him out.

hangemhigh1953 -> RE: Random viewings - what to do? (8/26/2011 12:09:05 PM)

Maybe it's the forums. I used to go days without a profile view and now I get a few every day and I suspect it's because I'm posting here more often.

usrnamenottaken -> RE: Random viewings - what to do? (8/26/2011 12:15:47 PM)

I'm new to this, but as a sub female, your profile photos are a little cheesy. I would get rid of the shot down your pants, the posey photos, and the one with the whip. The one with your shirt off is good enough. A girl can tell what your body looks like by looking at that. I'd rather look at a regular picture of a guy, leave some to the imagination. Maybe these girls are seeing your pictures and deciding not to talk to you even though you might be a perfectly fine person. It's all about how you present yourself. It doesn't matter if it's a personals site, you don't need those.

seasnail -> RE: Random viewings - what to do? (9/6/2011 5:08:17 PM)

i peeked too ha!

NocturnalStalker -> RE: Random viewings - what to do? (9/6/2011 5:59:56 PM)

I get views from forum-goers, young females, the occasional cougar and queers/lesbians.  Every now and then one of those "couple profiles" will view me.

I'm something of a huge rockstar though, so I am used to admirers.
