Ron,...who the hell is going to vote for him?
My nephew graduated from UNH last May and he and all his classmates can't find jobs!
Oh sure, some of them did during the summer waiting tables.
Many, many of those jobs were outsourced and Oblunder wants to have *more* "free trade" deals with S. Korea, Colombia and other countries???
Many college kids used to paint houses in the summer in N.E. and make very good money doing so. Now that no longer exists due to illegal aliens way undercutting them. And my nephew told me that the companies that do that have names like "College Students House Painting" but the people they hire aren't supposed to be in this country!
How about Black people? How many of them are better off now than they were 2 1/2 years ago?
And I think I can safely say that us Independents will be looking elsewhere. That alone will cost Oblunder the election! You *do not* win elections without the Independent vote!
You guys need to, "get a new plan, Stan."
Remember the ragin' Cajun?" "It's the ECONOMY, stupid!"

mnottertail -> RE: Obama's Legacy: (8/31/2011 2:45:50 PM)

Now you guys may look, but the 3 or 4 of you out there aint gonna vote IN nobody, and there aint gonna be any republicans voted in, and they aint gonna call it off altogether, so ...

Whistling past the graveyard.
Yeah, you, RML and crazy Mike can go off to the polls and vote to re-elect the *worst* president this country has ever had.
The Dems had better find a candidate pronto or they're screwed!

A 2010 Siena poll of 238 Presidential scholars found that.................. the current president, Barack Obama was ranked 15th out of 43, with high ratings for imagination, communication ability and intelligence and a low rating for background (family, education and experience).[10][11]

From the Siena report...

quote:

The current president, Barack Obama, while highly rated on imagination (6th), communication ability (7th) and intelligence (8th) scores poorly on background (family, education and experience) and enters the survey in the 15th position.

quote:

Rounding out the bottom five are four presidents that have held that dubious distinction each time the survey has been conducted: Andrew Johnson, James Buchanan, Warren G. Harding, and Franklin Pierce. Andrew Johnson leads the ‘worst ever’ in both abilities and accomplishments finishing below both Buchanan and Harding, but Harding tops the worst in personal attributes including integrity where he finishes just slightly ahead of Richard M. Nixon.

I wont add the rest... this is about Obama, not about Bush.

He deserves a number 1 out of 43 ranking if he imagines he's going to be reelected.

mnottertail -> RE: Obama's Legacy: (9/1/2011 7:57:30 AM)

There you have it: wilburs opinion. (Invariably and always 100% wrong) looks like 4 more years of Obama then.

Sanity -> RE: Obama's Legacy: (9/1/2011 8:01:36 AM)

Odd that he was ranked high for intelligence, when he needs two teleprompters to give a three minute speech and he refuses to release his college records

Must have been Democrat "scholars"

More legacy building by Obama:

Obama Stoops, Gets Burned By Boehner

...

Obama cockily announced that he wanted to speak at the same time as (the RNC debate) — with minimal consultation with the nation's top Republican, who must formally invite him to address Congress — and then pretended to be shocked when he was accused of playing politics.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney could barely keep a straight face when he denied that the timing was politically motivated, saying it was the first day Congress was back in session. But if Obama felt any hint of urgency about the speech he didn't show it when he allowed Congress to take a 5-week vacation — and then took one himself.

Obviously, he wants to be remembered as our most narcissistic president

mnottertail -> RE: Obama's Legacy: (9/1/2011 8:08:34 AM)

Well remember there are so many republican presidents to compare him with and that lifts his scoring exponentially, since they have been men of some of the densest material known to man.

PatrickG38 -> RE: Obama's Legacy: (9/1/2011 8:12:15 AM)

Most likely he will be ranked in the top ten at the end of his terms (I would assume reelection at this point unless the republican field dramatically changes). Most of the president's critics are not serious people and those who would place him in the bottom quintile are just demonstrating their ignorance. There are very serious accomplishments and some failures, but I would predict an ultimate ranking between 5-10.

PatrickG38 -> RE: Obama's Legacy: (9/1/2011 8:16:43 AM)

I must say Sienna's ranking of FDR over Lincoln in commnication seems a bit silly. Lincoln is the author of some of the best American writing period. FDR used radio very well, but Lincoln did not have that option.

Is Mr. Looney related to Patrick or is that just happenstance? That anyone could think Obama would win if the election were today is pure lunacy.

mnottertail -> RE: Obama's Legacy: (9/1/2011 8:26:58 AM)

Yeah, you know, reality is always in the way of extremist ideology. The election is not today, but even if it were, he would still win it, cuz he is running head and shoulders above in the field of pure dipshits, and come november '12 nothing much is going to change in that respect.

PatrickG38 -> RE: Obama's Legacy: (9/1/2011 8:32:31 AM)

He could loose if you nominate Jon Hunstman (a very nice guy by the way).....lol...lol...lol. Ron Paul stands a better chance of being nominated.

Always knew you had trouble discerning fantasy from reality, Sanity. Now, you have proven it.

Sanity -> RE: Obama's Legacy: (9/1/2011 8:44:22 AM)

Heh... a fantasy / reality conflict would be you and patrick really believing that Obama is intelligent, or popular, or that he has a real shot at being reelected at this point. [;)]
