A 2010 Siena poll of 238 Presidential scholars found that.................. the current president, Barack Obama was ranked 15th out of 43, with high ratings for imagination, communication ability and intelligence and a low rating for background (family, education and experience).[10][11]

From the Siena report...

quote:

The current president, Barack Obama, while highly rated on imagination (6th), communication ability (7th) and intelligence (8th) scores poorly on background (family, education and experience) and enters the survey in the 15th position.

quote:

Rounding out the bottom five are four presidents that have held that dubious distinction each time the survey has been conducted: Andrew Johnson, James Buchanan, Warren G. Harding, and Franklin Pierce. Andrew Johnson leads the ‘worst ever’ in both abilities and accomplishments finishing below both Buchanan and Harding, but Harding tops the worst in personal attributes including integrity where he finishes just slightly ahead of Richard M. Nixon.

I wont add the rest... this is about Obama, not about Bush.

Tazzy, hold onto that "Siena" info and repost it in here on Nov 5th, 2012.

You mean when your 'independent" candidate wins?

Time to come out of the closet Popeye and admit you are a conservative Republican.

Most Independents are conservative Republicans...

It just takes the occasional Carter or Obama, or possibly an  rml or three, to remind them of that.

Obama's apologists manage to come across as smug yet also apoplectic. Its as if they experience a glimmer of reality once in awhile and dimly realize that Independent voters (not the tea party) will be applying the shellack to Obama in 2012.

Who was the last US President to earn re-election after not only shepherding in a downgraded US credit rating but also overseeing a 9% + domestic unemployment rate?

Sanity, there may be some truth to that! Oblunder is, without a doubt driving us Independents away. Me a year ago, many many more now and in the time leading up to the election.
And if you remember, I said shortly after the election in 2008 that I hoped he'd be the best president we've ever had. Boy,...was (I) wrong, right RML?
Have you guys heard the latest about that Fish and Wildlife raid on the Gibson guitar co.?
This is real bad. Dr. Michael Savage was talking about it on his show last night.
Oblunder and the "justice" dept are out-of-control.

Why does every fuckin teabagger whine this clearly incorrect shit all over?

And choosing which laws to obey is not unique nor new to the office with the advent of Obama

Ronny, you, RML and crazy Mike were telling us a year ago that there were only a few thousand Tea Baggers in existance tops!
Now all of a sudden they're megalithic?
How many Tea Baggers are you guys talking about, 50 million? One hundred million? More???

Exactly is not how it was followed. That's how we ended up trying to figure out if flying planes into enemy territory and bombing places, or sending drones fit the definition of  requiring Obama to "notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30 day withdrawal period, without an authorization of the use of military force or a declaration of war."

A legacy, after 30 months, is an...insult to my intelligence.

Just yet another example of why I am giving up on this forum. Obama has been fought tooth and nail every inch of the way by an over-empowered minority and yet at this time in Reagan's first term...it was worse than it is now. YET this propaganda from the right that the 'Reagan Revolution' continued and it was still 'Morning in America again.' [sic]

Real legacy is left for history, after such a short period for the righties these days...they are propaganda.

You dont have enough intelligence to have it insulted. An over-empowered minority? You mean a feeble and incapable majority for 2 years.

It is very likely I have more knowledge and furthermore, more objectivity, than most here, including you. 2 years is nothing and an obvious stretch for yet another cheap attempt at partisan snipe. How about 'W's' legacy of a real 8 years ? Voted already 2nd worst pres. ever.

How about Rick Perry's legacy ? Not there is a cheap, vacuous, partisan, hypocrite if there ever was one. True to form...leads the sorry repub quacks masquerading as candidates for the repub nomination.

If the independents have any intelligence, they know now to...never vote repub again.

Neither. I just remember a woman who came close to being rabid over a single word. You can slam "them" all you want. I'm pretty comfortable in my positions and predictions, including this one:

I don't think many beyond maybe Rove see it as a big win for the GOP. Ok, maybe a few with their heads up their asses, but not en masse. I think most see it for what it is. Neither party, democrat nor republican as is, has the answers. Both agendas suck. Both agendas cater to freaks clinging by threads from the extremities.

I'll tell you what I expect, and that's tea party people to do what they said they would do. I've read shitty little diatribes on both sides of the political aisle whitewashed as commentary pointing fingers to the other side asking if they get it. Truth is, no one who sucks the two party tit gets it. People are fucking fed up. They're full to the brim of politician promises that never go anywhere, dipshit activists who want the world to change for them, and a whole slew of people who refuse to mind their own fucking business.

Toss on the never ending tax and fee bullshit swirling out of every government body in an effort to separate more of your money from you while they bail out their friends. Wall Streeters who dance in glee when the fed prints more money for them to play with, the burgeoning realization that we've effectively gutted our economy in the name of global free trade - not only gutted it but hung it upside down and cut it's throat to bleed it. Mix in some obama lovers who look you straight in the face and tell you things are actually better...

and what you have is people with an urge to emerge from the lunacy.

I expect tea party people to say fuck you to compromise and offer bill after bill hinged on the reasons they were sent to washington so that republican establishment pricks, democratic fringe folk and the president all have to say no to the public that sent the wave washing up on the shores of Washington.

I expect if they don't, they'll be out of a job next time around and they know it. I really don't see the next couple of years where the republican party is the party of no no no. I see it as dems being much more of the no no no crowd.

And now I get t watch liberals do the exploding head trick because someone is doing what they were elected to do.

My response to popeye was tongue-in-cheek, but youre joking too, right? Youre such a reliably a hyper-partisan  far left apologist... that you would have to be a little bit crazy to think that you are anything but.

Obama has given us Patriot Act renewals, kept Guantanamo open, kept up the bailouts, maintained Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, used NATO as a straw man to back islamist rebels in Libya, the continued employment of the "Decider's" Wall Street hacks, 9%+ unemployment, and a downgraded S&P credit rating for the USA.

With the exception of backing islamists in Libya, dragging down the US credit rating, and Obamacare; Obama's policy looks like particularly twisted, and hypocritical derivatives of the "Deciders" policy.

Re-packaging neo-con idiocy with an Obama label does not make it good policy.

Currently there aren't any reasons for Independents to vote for Obama other than SCOTUS appointees. Unfortunately for Obama until Obamacare is declared Unconstitutional (likely 5-4 due to the individual buyer mandate) its preferable to those that want less IRS intrusion into their lives that Obama not get another SCOTUS appointment.

Obama's dogged adherence to the "Decider's" policy will actually prevent many intelligent Independents from backing him.

Many Independents thought a vote for Obama was a rejection of neo-con idealogy. Since when do intelligent people go out of their way to buy snake oil from someone who has already conned and cheated them in the past?

And that little "prediction" had what to do with the Presidential election?

Apples to oranges, sweets.

As far as my "rant" I did not misrepresent your words in any fashion, nor dod I paraphrase, imply or add my own little twist as you did.

Your attempt at snark hit way off base.
