another post fallin to the back and forth. That is what drives out new people. Its not the flaming. Anyone worth thier wieght can handle it. Most even expect it. What we dont expect is that almost every thread turning into a NS/Awareness vs someone. And most of the time its been women you guys are against. (Contributing to my opinion that you are both closet homosexuals)

I believe it becomes a case of personal interpretation. What one person (mod) sees as a debate, another person (mod) sees as an argument. Hence the complaints from some, about inconsistent moderation.

I'm going to skip quoting, even though the comment itself might be considered a hijack. Did the thought occur that this just happened to be the thread that was noticed first? It is in the scope of possibilities since it was specifically created with the intention that somebody on the moderation team would be paying attention to it. For all I know, it could be because somebody reported a post or it just so happens that Pi is covering this particular section and has different hours than the one who is covering the General board. Maybe this won't entirely be a hijack after all. Since it is a 24/7 board, it might be worthwhile to consider having folks volunteer (if people who were willing could be found) from various places around the globe so that the boards are covered. Not that much happens that is earth shattering during certain hours because there's a lot less traffic here. Still, there would probably be a lot less cleaning up to do if somebody would have been on to stop telling us to run amok in the middle of the night.

Oh great, VAA posts just when I am going to make this suggestion.[8\|] It came up on another thread, I don't think Mods should be participating in discussions under their Mod accounts. If they want to participate, they should switch to their normal accounts and dive right in, but it is a little off putting trying to dispute a question of opinion with a Mod. They especially shouldn't be expressing opinions on posters openly under their Mod profile, that is really not acceptable.

I don't have a prob with the mods using their accounts to enter discussions. Most of us don't know who this other person posting is anyway but we all know the mods and their styles. A person's past posting history gives a "context" for a post frequently. ETA. maybe that should be a poll. Should the Mods post under their mod names or under their member names when they are "unofficial" and just joining in a conversation. Yes No It might be a pain in the ass for them tho to keep swapping back and forth and they work hard enough to keep this place going as it is.

Not really, open a window of Explorer and log in under one account, then open a window of Firefox and log in under a different account. We do it all the time, that's how we can have all three accounts signed in on the laptop in the bedroom. My suggestion: Can something be done about the little scroller thing. Somedays every time I click on something the page starts opening then it hangs for 4 or 5 minutes with the bottom of the window reading "Connecting to scroller.collarchat.com" then "Waiting for scroller.collarchat.com" . And when the page finally loads the scroller is blank. It doesn't happen all the time, but I wish we could get rid of it or at least hide it so it wouldn't hang me up like that. I end up playing Solitaire waiting for each page to open.
