ORIGINAL: Epytropos I find it interesting that if someone only likes tall partners, that's completely fine, and if someone prefers blondes, no worries, and if they're only attracted to members of a certain race that's mostly fine as well, but the minute someone has a preference for weight they're closed-minded. If anything weight should be the one most acceptable to choose based on since it is, by and large, something people can control. No one chooses to be born with blue eyes or pale skin or whatever, but their weight is something which is entirely up to them. I'm not necessarily endorsing the original intent of the thread, since I tend to think if you don't like a certain sort of person you simply filter them from your results and move on rather than making a thread about it, but there seems to be this general idea that preferring a certain weight makes you shallow and I just don't get that. Epytropos, it doesn't bother me that many people prefer thin partners...I see this as a matter of sexual preference and realize that everyone has them. I did not find the OP's first post in this thread obnoxious. I even expect a Dom who is a fitness junkie to see that his sub gets her fair share of exercize under his supervision if that is his wish. If she doesn't like it she can renegotiate, or leave to find someone else where this is not a huge issue. I am the type where D/s comes first when it comes to attraction, and whatever physical quirks come with the package is something that makes them more dear to me...and yes, sometimes I make small changes in my sub over time, some of them pysical. For me, it is part of the dynamic. This month, I am deciding on when and how to have my sub's hair cut. I made him grow it out so that I can have a nice fist full of hair to grab onto, but at the same time there has to be some compromise that takes into account how he will look to the rest of the world. Also, I started him on some mild exercizes for his abs, in case I rip off his peasant costume at the (Munch groups') Halloween party or decide to have him wearing a loin cloth of sorts. Why people go nuts over these threads, IMO, is not that someone is merely stating their preference...but that these types of things will come out soon after: quote:

And while I could care less if some woman wants to be a 5'2" 350 pound of blubber quote:
I do resent her pending ill health and repeated health problems (if it hasn't already occured) causing my health premium to increase. quote:
who has the common sense not to become a reclining whale. quote:
overweight and obese people cause My health premiums increase every time I get a premium notice because they are health risks, spend more time in a doctor's office, the emergency room or cemeteries. quote:
I could care less if they want to kill themselves through stupidity; I just don't want to pay for it quote:
Nothing special about Me; I just don't want to contribute to My premature death, which 5'3' people who weigh 300 pounds are doing. quote:
Hey asshole quote:
health problems, doctors and emergency room visits, funeral costs, etc. of those overweight, obese people (male and female) are causing an increase in My health insurance premiums. Why should others pay for the ignorance of those who don't give a damn? quote:
...as for Me burdening myself with the appearance of women on CM... This is what I see happening every time, and not just someone stating their preference. Somehow it is not the same as when someone has a preference for short/tall people, or blondes/brunettes/etc. OP...yes, I am obese. It would be fun to engage in an educational debate over obesity, but not when the thread is an excuse to throw insults a major percentage of the American population. I am happy for you that at 73, was it?...that you enjoy good health and can run marathons. Welcome to CM.
