I'm with you LaTigresse. While I do consider myself to be a pro-lifer. I condemn the tactics of this group as heinous, and outrageous.
What if this girl decides to harm herself because of this unwarranted pressure tactic? IT IS BULLYING and I say ARREST THEM FOR TARGETING A JUVENILE, especially one who has no control over the situation.

No kids should be confronted AT ALL in my opinion.

Instead, educate them. Help them prevent. Give them viable options if and when they find themselves in need.

What pisses me off most........the people that tend to support this shit are also usually the same damned morons that have fits over worthwhile sex education in schools or providing kids with free condoms.

I doubt many women WANT to have an abortion but god dammit, give them other options and leave it at that.

They go after the children for the same reason a home invader puts the gun to your kid's head when asking where the safe is it has two names depending how you look at it. Terrorism or Extortion.

This wasnt during school hours, but at night during an event.

I am not sure that makes me feel any better.

My previous post reflects the fact that I dont agree with their tactics. However, as a form of free speech, if its not illegal, then ot much can be done, sadly.

Should children be protected? yes

Are they protected from free speech? Not at all.

If someone lost control of their car, hopped the sidewalk and mowed these nitwits down, I would acquit them.

I put these protestors right up there with the Westboro assholes.

I do to. But if we start here, where does it end? Im not so sure I want to see freedom of speech curtailed to that extent. Its indeed a slippery slope.

I didn't say they should be curtailed but I put them as the moral equivalent of the Westboros.

Not sure. Maybe Ted Nugent answered that question in "Sasquatch Fever"?

Accidents'll happen ... and I think we should pay careful attention to the trauma the poor person who collides with them will have to live through.

LaT's statement could just as easily have read

I believe in personal choice but I really REALLY wish those that support abortion would put their money and efforts into programmes that make it unnecessary, instead of making themselves as offensive as humanly possible.

How despicable. The zealots who claim to be protecting children have invented a new form of child abuse.

What a wretched hate-driven lot of hypocrites.

Except that I do not ever see a pro choice person standing on a street corner near a planned parenthood, holding a huge, full colour, poster of a mangled fetus and believing that is acceptable propaganda.

I don't think any of them have burned down a church or shot a televangelist either, come to that.
Strange how it's always the christian side doing that shit, rather than the Godless atheist scum, innit?
