I say we start drafting politicians. Take rich savy business men, put them in power, take allllll their money and put it into the government. Then if the government does well, when they are retired after 4 years, they get their money back. If they continue to bankrupt the country, their own money should be bankrupted as well. This way there is less worry about being re=elected, and more about improving the economy! [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

LMAO Funny , I could tell she was being sarcastic, and I listened three times it must be the english ... sarcasm isnt awalys blatant, no wonder most americans dont get it. Hi ya darlin'! I listened several times. Sorry I am just not buying the "It was a joke" line. She was answering a question in a rambling manner and got bogged down in quick sand. I get she was trying to make a point and I will give her the benefit of doubt that her opine was meant to provoke thought and discussion. What she WAS not doing however, not in any way shape or form, was making a joke.

The whole bit is ripe for sarcasm certainly not a serious proposition, satire not quite, almost a parody of what some have come up with from the republican side cmon, really one woman says what she said about changing the whole way of political crap and challenge the "rights/constitution/federal laws election laws, etc and all of a sudden theres panic and horror in the air? ya right. There's no sarcasm in her voice. Then again, Bev Purdue is governor of North Carolina, my home state. She's been running on air for a while now. Latest polls indicate that only 29% of Democrats would vote for her again - and that's her own party. Like I said, hopefully, this is a politician who will quietly disappear soon.

My dear... There is no snark, no inflection, there is not even a understatement curtness to her voice. There is nothing to say she was trying to make a sarcastic point. This was a public forum with the microphones on and whatever point she was trying to get make was lost as it was poorly conceived and poorly delivered. She floundered in her answer and come up with something stupid, plain and simple. BTW... and here's the kicker, there is ZERO in Gov. Purdue's rhetorical record or writings that even hints that she is capable of such witty and sarcastic banter.

LOL its a given that you wont see it:) much like I dont believe that there were only two people in the teaparty audience at the debate that believed that a gay soldier should be booed and have it poo pooed by so many posters here, or when people cheered and shouted yes at a hypothetical person be allowed to die, or that charity will help people without insurance. His poor friend that died, had medical bills when he died of 400, 000, the total of the donations came to 30,000.. who is left paying the bill? hismother, and who has helped her since?
