It shows a lot of character that you did that adorkable, but I still believe parents have a responsibility to send their kids to college. You shoundn't have had to rack up a bunch of loans to go to college and get a good start in life. When did you go to school, if I may ask? If it was longer than 5 years ago, I don't think you know how bad things are. I have one kid who just graduated, and one who is a sophomore. I know from experience that tuition increases are far, far outstripping inflation.
My dad did send me to undergrad, but I took out about 65k in loans to go to law school. And that was 15 years ago, but it was a private school. Now, kids rack up that much getting a fucking useless undergrad degree from a state school. And then can't get a job. Look at the placement statistics for universities. they are pathetic, and you know the schools are inflating them so they don't look so dismal.

I know exactly how bad it is, I just finished my masters in 2010. Prices are completley unfair and make life hard, student loans often give me panic attacks, no joke. However, I am handling it. Loan companys do work with you and I have a lot of really great job prospects becuase of my education and it is really exciting for me!

Seriously, check with the dental school at IU in Indy. They might be able to help you.

I had already checked my options, and Sallie Mae absolutely refuses to lend me enough money to go another semester without my parents signing a loan of their own. And my parents won't do it.

Heh, sorry, not just trying to be stubborn. That's truthfully how much of a rut I'm in. I would've liked to be a computer scientist. Guess that's not happening. =/ I'm studying Java at home as it is, but I have no idea whether or not that'll go anywhere.

I suppose the conclusion of this is that I shouldn't be looking for a sub. It is kind of sad, though. Oh, and on the side, (and you may find this funny), I have been to a play party before. Everyone one else was getting some, but I was left rather...alone. The farthest I got was to rub some old woman's tits for half an hour while she talked to someone else during the whole thing. Acted bored and left to go get a spanking.

Gah, makes me think it's this place. There's just something about it which drives young'uns like me away. Maybe it's the sports bars and churches around every corner. (They're more common than McDonalds, and Indiana is America's second fattest state) Maybe it's the fact that there's nothing interesting to do or see. Maybe it's the huge, HUGE focus on sports (all I ever hear about from my fellow Hoosiers is "Duhhhh, Go Colts!". Grr.) Maybe it's because no one wants to spend the rest of their lives in this rathole.

Well, anyway, this has gotten kinda-sorta off topic. My apologies.

wolvenreign -> RE: Should I stop searching? A question of youth. (9/29/2011 10:58:48 PM)

Totally appreciate your advice.

But on the subject of munches; I have been there. Let me share some of my funnier experiences trying to get somewhere.

My first munch was at Grindstone Charlies on 38th in Indianapolis. It was an IMAS munch. I went there and sat down, and across from me sat a funny old (80) man named Woody. Woody loved nothing more than talking about him and his mistress. And their INCREDIBLY bizarre fetishes. One such fetish, or should I say JOURNEY, was when his mistress shoved ice cubes down his pants and shoved him into the trunk of a car so she can go riding around town while she uses a dildo.

My reaction? I just smiled the whole way through. It was actually pretty funny.

Well, the next thing I know, I've won a raffle after attending once. I was also the guy selected to draw out of the hat. You could just FEEL the evil stares on my back. I never went back to an IMAS munch, =P

I've also been to sloshes. One of them had a funny circumstance around it.

So it was at this place called "The Metro", downtown. I had no idea what kind of place it was, just that it held the slosh that I had planned to attend. (It was IYK, Indiana Younger Kink). I got lost on my way there, since Google Maps managed to screw up the directions somehow. So in my quest to make it to the club, I end up asking about 4 or 5 businesses, "Which way to the Metro?". Once I finally make it there, I realize my mistake. The Metro is a gay bar.

Thus, I had unwittingly asked 4 or 5 different businesses, "Which way to the gay bar?".

Well, at any rate, nothing ever came of those sloshes aside from a few adds on FetLife. Whoop-de-freakin'-do.

Well, I certainly hope your investment pays off. Nevertheless, I still think parents should send their kids to college. It should be their highest priority.

In an ideal world, yes, but it doesn't always work out that way.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Should I stop searching? A question of youth. (9/29/2011 11:04:50 PM)

Sounds like OP's parents can afford it, if they are moving to Hawaii. Or, they can go in debt sending him to school.

Endivius -> RE: Should I stop searching? A question of youth. (9/29/2011 11:05:30 PM)

The problem you have is you. You spent the last several responses and the initial post saying "woe is me". You are going to be hard pressed to find a woman if you won't fix your troubles.

You say you find it shamefull that you are going to spend the majority of your life in pain. That's bullshit; step up. You can't fix the world's problems, but you can damn sure fix yours. It's no surprise that at 22 you are "frustrated" that you can't find a woman to fall out of the sky and worship the ground you walk on.

You are putting the cart before the horse on relationships. You shouldn't be focused on the end result of having a perfect slave who's been trained to do your bidding. Part of the most exciting moments in a relationship is the exploration of it, and the journey to get to that place of serenty.

You say you are planning your life, but at 22 you are jobless, not in college, have medical problems, and don't have any plans in place to further yourself. If you want to make a woman fall head over heels for you, stop watching porn, start excersizing, get a job, and set some goals. Your profile and your posts sound anything but desirable. You have an internet connection, you have google. Fix it.

Unfortunately, yes. I attempted a swing at college, only to have my folks inform me that I could no longer attend due to financial issues. (They're trying to move to Hawaii, though, oddly enough.)

So now I'm 10k in the hole with no way to pay it back! Don't you just love money?

I have some talent that MIIIIIIGHT pull me out of this (voice acting, internet marketing potential that I just can't seem to get right), or I could be in a homeless hell complete with agonizing mouth pain all the time forever. Don't know at this point. Only thing I can do is try.

Why would you be looking for a sub when you dont have a job and are 10 grand in the hole at age 22?
What makes you think that is a dominant trait? Are you living with your parents?!?!

Did you really post your full name in your profile?

quote:

Greetings. My name is Bob PaXXXXme. For a long time now, I have looked out into the world, and where I once saw people, I now see sheep. Those that follow the way simply because they know nothing else. I am glad to know that there are those here who have made their own way in life, evident through the wild and happily bizarre kinks.

But I digress...what I have truly come here for is the lack of denial in the submissive women. Feminism has no hold here; I seek tradition with a twist. I seek a woman who will truly obey and seek to please me, and in return, I also seek to obey the Gentleman's code of old.

In return you seek to obey the Gentleman's code of old? What the fuck is that? Thats what you have to offer a sub? WTF?

I am a poet, a Master and a philosopher at heart. It pains me to see my world devolving before my eyes.

A master of what? What is it that makes you believe this? What are you living on? Youre parents money? The dole?

Other kinks include panty fetish, dress fetish, femininity fetish, and last but not least, bondiaper fetish. (Consenting adults only, of course. It's a form of bondage.) I despise jeans/pants and demand that my submissive wear only dresses and skirts in my presence. This also means I hate them wearing anything particularly tight around their crotch that also extends to around their legs. I am very strict about dress code, and the main rule is; FEMININE CLOTHING ONLY. Just to clarify, I am 100 percent straight. The sissification fetishes and so forth refer to my desire to enforce femininity in my female sub(s).

The diaper fetish for consenting adults only and its a form of bondage .... OOOHHH KKKKKKKKK .....dude ..

seriously.... please, get a job and pay your taxes. Fuck I get sick of seeing grown men thinking that they are in control, when in fact they cant control anything in their life, whine about it ... and wonder where the pussy is.

Fuck off !!

wolvenreign -> RE: Should I stop searching? A question of youth. (9/29/2011 11:14:28 PM)

I haven't yet checked Indiana Career Connect, but I have tried CareerBuilder and Monster. Both of them only end up offering scam-jobs that want me to pay, etc. Nothing substantial, or just everything that I don't have qualifications for.

FAFSA? A lot of people tell me about that. Problem is, the amount I qualified for was PATHETIC. Around a thousand dollars or so. It was more like a shaving off of how much I'd need to borrow (along with my parents).

I'll check up more on that surgery, but for the time being I can say that Indiana doesn't provide that sort of thing.

You're probably right about the relationships thing. I didn't say that with all intent of being taken seriously, just what my current thoughts are. Don't have many friends or anyone to really share that sort of thing with. My apologies if it was placed somewhere it shouldn't have been.

And yes, I am planning my life, but...there don't seem to be many options. I'll try ICC.

Thanks for your advice.

Maybe you should join the military.

wolvenreign -> RE: Should I stop searching? A question of youth. (9/29/2011 11:16:09 PM)

Like I said, that profile was just something quick I whipped up when I was 20. Everyone here is right when they say I need to renovate it.

I am sort of wondering whether or not it's worth the effort at this point though. I am asking whether or not I should give up for a reason, that being that the whole thing might just be too desperate to try atm. Thanks for your comments.

wolvenreign -> RE: Should I stop searching? A question of youth. (9/29/2011 11:17:13 PM)

I had attempted to join the military, but I'm too overweight at the moment. I'm trying to lose, so who knows?

Not an awful idea if you really want to get in shape for it. I know someone who was rather over weight but drempt of being in the army, he worked his ass of literaly and right now is over seas fighting for his country. The army opens many doors.

Hmmm. Well, you are a catch, aren't you.
What do you mean you are trying to lose it? You are 22 yo and you are too fat for the goddamn military? Seriously? Maybe you should start there. I am beginning to see your parent's point, maybe they don't think sending you to school is going to help. Maybe you can prove to them you really are trying to fix your life by losing weight. Unemployed, uneducated and overweight is no way to go through life, OP.

Both my brothers and I used fasfa to fund our college education, the reason you don't qualify for more is because you are being claimed as a dependant by your parents, because you have no taxable income, or both. Get a job, get out of your parents house and you will qualify for plenty. You can easily go back to college, it's a matter of whether or not you are willing.

If he has a preexisting medical condition that requires surgery they will DQ him. Unless he lies about it and gets in undetected. Not a good idea though, they give you an OTH discharge for that, no benefits, and an re-4.
