Ah yes, your language issues, I'm sorry, I forgot about those, please forgive me.

The first:
quote:

"Very unlikely, at least 30+ years after the event."
This isn't a question of belief or not, it is a statement of fact.

Here again, your comprehension issues; aside from your never moving forward from the "English 101" theme, being as that you've never moved beyond proper understanding of advanced use of either case or proper understanding of the subjunctive, which all seem to puzzle you completely, let's forget your moving to English 202, much less using that in any further class that would require it.

You were a really smart eighth grader, we get that. Congratulations.

Alluding to a reference from a cult might convince some, or it might not convince others, as being "a statement of fact."

Count educated people or anyone with a semblance of fundamental logic capacity as being among the latter group.

Awwww, how cute. Multi-syllabic words used without relevance to appear erudite and selective quoting to create the image of a point that does not exist too. I see you have started that remedial composition course, good for you. It's never too late to learn the basics, a few years hard work and you too might make it into the eighth grade.

U so smrat, me in awz from U!

I tried to read the OP, but it turned in to Charlie Brown's teacher.......wahhh wahhh wahhh wahhh wahhh wahhh wahhh.

I'm either stoned or stoopid cause it really lost me.

What is this thread about?  Maybe continued reading will help.

Sorry to point out the obvious here, but;

quote]ORIGINAL: HeatherMcLeather

Now, since I have no reason to dispute this date, and don't know what research or assumptions its based on, (though calling it "fact" elsewise, Ed) I don't dispute it, nor do I believe it. I accept it. There is quite a substantial difference between accepting and believing.

/quote]

And this charm;

quote:

Multi-syllabic words used without relevance to appear erudite and selective quoting to create the image of a point that does not exist too.

There is quite a convenience in that, for the facile of mind ("facile" being only two syllables, I slowed it down for you, since you complained). I did in fact use the four-syllable word "understanding" in that post. So pillory, whip me, and drag  me back to "English 6th grade" here. Sorry. "Relevance" is also more than two syllables, which is why its meaning escapes you. You and the OP keep trying to "make a point,"  while harping on own minds. There, I did it, a whole sentence with words no more than two syllables.

Excellent. Self-contradiction does seem to be your strong point.

You have now made it plain that your only object is to scream! if only for the sake of it, just as with the OP.

Though it is obvious to intelligent readers here that I have neither any such assumptions or beliefs in anything you lude-heads insist on going on about, you have now made it plain that your only object here is to scream! for sake of it, just as with the OP.

Take a nap or something.

One of this is, for example, evangelical fundamentalism. According to this knowledgment system, God made the Earth in seven days of 24 hours, some thousands of years ago. This is a fact... for this knowledgment system. Well, it’s actually not a fact, indeed, scholars for millennia have debated what the length of the presupposed “day” was in the Bible…but that’s for another discussion entirely…let’s continue….shall we?

I think they should debate whether or not it might have been six days, first. Abstruse question, I know. But hey, scholars have to be willing to tackle the hard stuff.

K.

I do not know with whom is he speaking but I hope he understands that I do not consider this a fact for my knowledge system. It is only a fact is your knowledge system is "evangelical fundamentalism".

One second here....I was certain I was (as per your previous statement that I was in fact) "hidden", deleted, obfuscated, banned....

HeatherMcLeather -> RE: Jesus "Christ" today and then. (10/3/2011 7:11:28 PM)

And we know what your vested interest is in this thread, now don't we?

Edwynn -> RE: Jesus "Christ" today and then. (10/3/2011 7:24:26 PM)

Any reading of your posts in this thread (or anywhere else), along with the OP's displays the vested interest well enough.

You have to keep in mind that some percentage here can both read and comprehend. We don't expect you to keep up with all that. We truly don't.

HeatherMcLeather -> RE: Jesus "Christ" today and then. (10/3/2011 7:29:34 PM)

So just what is my vested interest in this thread?

Why don't you explain it to us? You promulgated to us as "fact" (which you stated as such, read back) that some issue 'supposedly' transpiring somewhere around 2,000 years ago was described at some 30 years variance, your evidence being no different than others. I have no use for any of it, sorry to disappoint.

But since you insist, please enlighten us here. Beyond word of the that particular cult, if possible.

Originally, about an historical view on who was Jesus. It is quite mainstream between historicians, with some minority opinions which are still respected between historicians (for example, that Jesus was a Pharisee is not mainstream, but I found the arguments of Hyam Maccoby quite convincing).
Later, about how evil, arrogant, stupid, ignorant, etc... I am.
Now, I am not sure anymore.

Edwynn -> RE: Jesus "Christ" today and then. (10/3/2011 10:28:33 PM)

Sorry.

Respect begets respect. When I have to remind 40 and 50 yr. olds of this while fending off 18 yr. olds, I can only wonder if the internet is a lost cause here.

manofyourdreams -> RE: Jesus "Christ" today and then. (10/4/2011 5:13:19 AM)

no I am sure it was/is all of the above, the evidence is out there , the mark of the beast is upon us.

manofyourdreams -> RE: Jesus "Christ" today and then. (10/4/2011 5:18:27 AM)

have you ever wondered why every "christian" church is now doing all the things  we were commanded  not to do ?or not doing all we were commanded to do ? such as the fabrication of graven images , not keeping the sabbath (saturday ) holy, not calling anyone on earth father .all of the "christian " holidays have pagan/babylnian/occult  origins. who caused that ?  the church founders ! so then were they truly founding christian religions ?NOT! they knew what they were doing! all that is an affront to God!
