Sanity -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 10:58:59 AM)

The point wasnt to negate it, where did you even get that. The point was to show how it is also applicable to the Tea Party protests.

And how does that negate the validity of what I said?

mnottertail -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 11:00:19 AM)

not applicable. no credible proofs.

Sanity -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 11:01:05 AM)

So you agree it was a dumb thing to say about the Occupy protesters then?

mnottertail -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 11:05:13 AM)

Thank you for your rhetoric, ReichsFuhrer Comrade Stalin.

Oh puh-leeze Sanity. I am not even going to take these protesters seriously until one of them sets themselves on fire.

Once we have a human torch, then I will believe them! You know that martyrs are important. So. . . where are the fruit vendors?

Sanity -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 11:06:53 AM)

If its applicable to the one protest then its only logical its applicable to the other

1+1=2

And 1+2=3

And 1+3=4

And so on

And when were these remarks being made about the Tea Party?

HeatherMcLeather -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 11:11:15 AM)

Was it dumb or not?

Sanity -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 11:14:35 AM)

Your missing the point after it was clarified for you for the third time is dumb... but no, the initial observation was rather witty.

About as witty as a chapped ass, comrade.

Just out of curiosity, have you noticed how "white" the OWS movement is? [:D]

It's actually really not. Look at pictures, youll see a whole mix of ethnicities, including zombie girl on this very thread

"Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment."
Why even go to school? Why care about education and why worry about employment if you're demanding "a guaranteed living wage"?
"Demand number four: Free college education."
Why? Why do you need free college education? If you're gonna get a living wage and you don't have to work, why go to college? These kids really do deserve their college tuition money back, I am afraid... but not for the reasons they seem to believe.

You discredit yourself with almost every post you make. You would be better off just not opening your mouth, honestly.

First of all, why did you get your info from Rushlimbaugh.com? Why not get it from the source? Is Rushlimbaugh.com more reliable at giving you information than the source of the information itself? Of course not. Get your info from the source, I can't stress this enough. The talking heads are there to divide and confuse, and they've done a good job on you.

As for "demand three", living wage doesn't mean what you seem to think it does. A person earning a LIVING wage works forty hours a week, with no additional income, and is able to afford a specified quality and quantity of housing, food, utilities, transport, health care, and recreation." In other words, if you work full time, you should be able to get your basic needs met. Personally I disagree with demand three, if they mean they want the government to provide this for them. The government's role is outlined in the Constitution, and providing citizens with a living wage isn't part of the deal. But I do agree that if a person puts forth significant labour, time, effort, ingenuity, etc they shouldn't be going hungry or homeless. In fact, if everybody (or almost everybody) were to put those things forth, nobody would be going hungry or homeless, but that's another topic.

As for "demand four", I disagree with this one as well, assuming they are demanding the government provide it. That said, a proper education could certainly be free. The internet could have every college textbook uploaded to it and accessible by every person on the planet, for free. This would cost almost nothing to do. I'm not saying that's the answer, but I'm saying it would go a long way in the right direction, which is that education and knowledge should be free. Why companies need to make money off it is beyond me. Sure, that helps the companies get rich, but does it serve the 99%? But back to your post, "the kids" (half of whom are long past college years) didn't demand their fees back, so your post can be labeled "strawman" and tossed out. Debate the actual points, or you lose the discussion automatically.

By the way, great work bashing those who are fighting for you, knowing full well you'll never comprehend it.

Lucylastic -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 11:44:01 AM)

theres more than fourty pics eaily available of more than white people
I would have offered to post them, but im not falling for their lazy ignorance.

Sanity -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 12:03:55 PM)

No, check your reading comprehension - the idiot socialists are demanding a "living wage" for everyone, working or no. Just for filling a bong all day... I suppose they think the money (and the goods they get with it) will just be made out of thin air?

And who would write textbooks if they cant sell them. Or if they all textbooks are deemed of equal worth, then why would anyone strive to wtrite a better textbook.

Im not going to waste too much time shooting your illogic full if holes, shooting fish in a barral gets boring fast

mnottertail -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 12:09:58 PM)

Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending "Freetrade" by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.

Here is one single persons demand, but just like joe the plumber and Palin, Bachmann, Boener, Romney, Santorum, Perry, Christie, and the teabaggers he is a lone nut.

Nowhere, is there a credible citation that says a livling 'wage' for non-working people (that sort of fucks the sentence up cuz you got the word 'wage' in there.

Once again, sanity comes to the aid of the clear thinking people with his total lack of and disregard for facts and logic.

There is a difference between the list made by one member, Sanity, which is what rush showed.. and the list being voted upon and being approved.

Please do try and find that difference.

mnottertail -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 12:19:08 PM)

He can't. The perspective is occluded when you are glued that intimately to someone at that angle.

Further if the single exceptional anecdote cannot be used as the synecdoche for his view, the discussion would have to turn on credible facts and logic, and he ain't going to have any part of that.

luckydawg -> RE: Idiotic Demands of the Wall Street Protestors (10/5/2011 12:28:52 PM)

"Backer of Wall Street puppet Obama – MoveOn.org – wants to “support the effort” In efforts for the current Financially controlled corporation of America to get a handle on the #Occupy movements Is Moveon.org, a Democratic Party front which backed Obama’s 2008 election campaign, set to hijack the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protests this week? Pretty ironic given the fact that the Obama administration is a creature of Wall Street itself. Moveon.org has allegidly accepted $18,000 in processing fees for fundraising in teh Obama campaign as well as a $5million grant from Goeoge Soros.

......

More and more it seems that MoveOn.org will and has been attempting to have under cover members support their goals of control. Attacks not only on CoupMeda.org, Coup Media Group as a whole, Anonymous, AdBusters, Carpool to #Occupy WallStreet, and many other efforts aimed at supporting people just like you (assuming you know the party system is broken and a distraction) have been occurring heavily over the past few days.

We are pointing out that the usual suspects are hard at work to subvert, confuse, manipulate and divert the impact of the protest by steering it away from the real cause of our economic fallout – the Federal Reserve – an institution which ‘Occupy Wall Street’ recognizes as a BIG part of the problem we face as citizens today."

And apperantly most of them want to repeal the 16th amendmant, and are 911 truthers....

Great Website Tazzy, thanks for the real info on these protestors.
